The best write-up is john carney's in Carneycopia.
Do yourself a favor and get a copy.

He really emphasizes the misdirection which is really the entire point of the trick.
And when it comes down to it.. the entire point in performing magic properly, in general.

So it's a win-win.

Al S.'s one cup and balls routine is a similar study of this, and you can see the results of it being applied properly on Al's youtube video.
Makes something like a simple routine into pure magic.

If you want to apply those same techniques to C&C, and have it actually look like magic, get John's book.

Or you could not read it, and just use fancy moves and quick hands, like I've seen at the magic conventions when people gather around to show off their chops. None of your magic buddies will say you flashed, but you did, and they all saw you.

You decide.

The original was a cardboard tube cut from a container and painted sliver. The product "accent" used to come in a tube that was about half dollar size. Other folks have used rolled up dollar bills. One guy figured out how to do the trick using a metal cylinder. One of the Café members sells fine leather and wood props for the trick.
...to all the coins I've dropped here

I have two of Frank's cylinders for this effect. A stock one he sells as well as a custom made cylinder with end caps... I can attest to his craftsmanship .. It is top notch.

Thanks very much.

We also have a Chip Stack for those that haven't gotten or can't quite afford a stack of Morgans, etc.

Here's a different idea for the cylinder and chips.
Instead of dice, how about your wife's wedding band. ??

If my wife caught me with real poker chips again... I would not only have her wedding band but I would have the paperwork to boot. Smile Smile
