Description (sort of) from Jays site
Watch video demo for better description Comes complete with the special collection of official Scrabble brand pieces + a detailed 50-minute tutorial video. It's easy to do... ...the scrabble pieces CAN be closely examined... ...and you can even immediately REPEAT THE TRICK with a different letter! Perform this stunning trick in a glass, card case, take-out cup or even the spectator's own hands. Jay also reveals the incredible secrets to: *a startling transposition trick with two of the Scrabble pieces. *PLUS a powerful revelation of a selected playing card. SPELLBOUND isn't just one awesome trick. It's a COLLECTION of awesome tricks! https://sankey-magic.myshopify.com/colle......ellbound I could have sworn that I’ve seen this before from Jay? I searched Café’ and internet with no results of this effect in particular using Scrabble letters. If it’s already a thread, please put link and I do apologize. I have always loved Jays effect and teaching. This actually looks fun and a great addition to add that’s not cards, coins, balls. I’m going to purchase it. Anyone else seen or heard this one? I haven’t checked. But it could be one from his previous DVDs or books? I just haven’t looked yet. |

Seems like a switch may be required...

Ordered. I like the simplicity of the effect and the multiple phases to the routine.

Just received mine today. Was what I thought.
I like this. Again, it’s different. Not mind blowing. But very fun to do. Make sure to do it on hard surfaces. I just did it with my daughter on carpet. Not as effective. It worked fine. But it just sounds better having the pieces fall on a table or hardwood floor. I am actually going to use “Scratch” and have them scratch their “Lucky Prediction”. Scratch by Chad Long. Here: http://www.penguinmagic.com/p/3105 As always, Jay gives great advice and thoughts as he teaches this. You don’t 100% have to do a switch. But it’s an option. Hard to explain here. I guess you could in the end. But if I’m going to use scratch, I won’t need to switch. No need to run. My wife bartends. I sometimes go there early to pick her up. I’m going to give it a run and see what drunk people think of this! Lol Mike |

Five quarters are marked with one letter each from the tricks name, and shaken in the spectators hands, then dropped onto the table; those that land with the letter "down" are removed, and repeated till only one coin is left, and it matches the prediction. After reading the ad for Spellbound, I knew something extra, beyond the method for M.A.G.I.C., had to be done (as already commented on), else I would have been tempted to buy (but I have some will power). In fairness, the wooden blocks do have a nice look and feel for the trick (writing letters on coins is a bit contrived). John
