FULL REVIEW: Meditations by James Went and Big Blind Media is a truly awesome double DVD project. Each disc is generally organized in the same fashion. First, Went performs the tricks in studio and then explains how to them. Second, he teaches several “techniques” which range from various peeks, passes, controls and other assorted moves. Finally, Went is interviewed about his magic, his influences and his career.

Because this DVD was produced by Big Blind Media you are guaranteed a top-notch product. The camera work and different angles are excellent as is the audio, the structure and pace at which the tricks and techniques are performed and taught.

Went is an excellent teacher (and funny too) as he teaches material that will challenge some beginners and also please intermediate level card men (and women). During the various routines and techniques Went appropriately credits anyone and everyone that he can think of and explains the history of the material. You may have seen Went in various other Big Blind Media productions and if you know him, you probably like him.

The project sells for $35 which is a very good deal for 3 hours of magic and instruction. Quite honestly, there is some much card magic packed into these 2 DVD’s that it can keep you busy for a very long time. I have no doubt that any purchaser of this double DVD project will watch this over and over.

I enjoyed watching these DVD’s very much and it was easy to give this project an almost perfect rating.
