Yeah I agree the documentary was great! Lots of new information about this amazing card man.

Also check out “The Magic Word” podcast in which Turner is interviewed.

The Magic Word is a great podcast and that interview was great as well. Found out a lot that I did not know about Richard.

I prefer "Magical Thinking Podcast with Elliott Terral". It is part of Dan and Dave's "Art of Magic" site. There are several hours archived back to the first interview/conversation with many different types of magical minds. Here is a link to the Richard Turner Episode

You can hear an interview I did with Luke Korem, the director of the picture, here:

He has some interesting comments about working with Richard Turner and making the film.

Not heard of Richard before, so watching it now on Hulu, pretty awesome, more so when I realized he was blind at the beginning.

Thank you for the reference. I’ve watched the movie and I’m impressed by the achievements of this legend.
I just hope he will give everything to someone to write a wonderful book on his methods and technical details.

I am embarrassed to admit that I hadn't heard of Richard Turner. I watched the "Dealt" documentary last night and it was, to say the least, impressive. I visited his website after I finished watching the film. Very good deal on his eight DVD set...about $13/each including shipping. I think I am going to buy it.

Just FYI, if you have a Hulu subscription you can watch Dealt for free now. I believe it still cost 5 bucks or so to rent on Amazon Prime

Just checked this out from my local library and it is fantastic. Definitely shows the kind of dedication involved in reaching the top of a craft. Like Will Rogers with a rope, Richard Turner spending so much of his life with cards in his hands led to a level of mastery most of us can only dream of.

Highly recommend.
