For those familiar with Paul Gordon's Head To Head poker ( 10 card poker deal ) have you come up with a better solution for last 2 cards rather than the weak top or bottom ploy ?
I have a couple of idea's but neither are great although one is definitely better than the top or bottom ending, feel free to PM me rather than expose anything I know there are other routines and actually use the 242 deal myself, however for what I'm actually wanting to do I would still have the same issue with the last 2 cards as it's the procedure I'm using ie this isn't for a poker demonstration ....... PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT MENTION OTHER ROUTINES AS THAT ISN'T THE QUESTION. |

What kind of demonstration is it?

It's Boris Wild's take on the plot but basically your still going to need to force the last card as you need the spectator to choose a specific card with it appearing to be a free choice.

Check out two of my --- oh, no, sorry - just saw that you said not to mention other routines, Warren. So I won't. Too bad - you could've learned the two I always use.

Here's how I finish:
I hold both cards squared in dealing position, target card on the bottom. I say: we have two cards left. Who shall get the next one? you or I? You decide. If he wants it for himself, I deal him the top card as requested. If he says for me, then I bottom deal to myself while turning the top card face-up onto his packet. Very deceptive. If you want a bit more details on the handling, let me know and I’ll PM you. What's your own handling? |

Warren how about this?
"OK so far I've been as fair as I can possibly be but.....well wait a minute that's not totally true, to give you EVERY possible advantage I'm gonna let you look a your 4 cards and look at these last 2 and you can take the one you want to make the strongest hand you can" ?? |

Thanks, for your input Geeraff12, unfortunately for the routine and presentation that I'm using none of the cards are seen until the end which is vital for the presentation.
The method you mentioned is how the 242 deal ends which is my preferred 10 card poker deal as no matter what card the spectator chooses at that point you still end up winning, however with Paul's head to head poker the idea is for you to end on a royal flush which could be ruined if the spectator doesn't take the card you want them to take. |

My routine, A Much Better Chance ends exactly that way - spectator looks at his four cards and the two remaining and takes the one of those two that "fits" his 4-card hand. Ya' gotta' start reading the good stuff, guys.

Warren, in your PM you mentioned the Mexican Turn Over is a move you've considered. A MTO would turn face up one of the 2 cards, so it’s a bit contradictory with what you answered me and your last post here.
I am genuinely puzzled why you’d suggest a MTO? Here’s another handling I have used in the past. I say to the spectator: “Now touch a card…”, and when the spec is about to do it I repeat “Touch a card ... for me/you, and I/you will have this card.” depending on the selected card. It needs a bit of timing, but it’s quite good when casually performed. Once more, the Boris Wild's handling is nice. |

I think you must have forgotten that this was at the end of the routine so it's logical to then turn the cards over to show them, having said that I've discarded that method anyway as Boris Wild's handling is the best solution so far. |
