Daffy it’s simple the lighter the touch the better and practice practice practice but once you get it it’s playing the guitar you will never forget it Tom

After my radical neck dissection for throat cancer a few years ago, I started to slowly loose more and more feeling starting above my ear and down to the inner (closest to my neck) of my collar bone. Over the next couple years the loss has spread and is now clear to just below my shoulder. I honestly am scared to death at times that I will lose the use of my right arm someday. BUT... even with the nerve damage and other problems, I can split a Phoenix deck with 98% accuracy. I think everyone misses a card or two from time to time. Although some say having a "mistake" or two sells the effect better. (Just an opinion). I really recommend you try one because once you get it, not only this effect will add to your card work but this really great book I recently purchased "A New Angle" by Ryan Plunkett & Michael Feldman is full of gems for a Stripper Deck. (and it's not that "75 tricks you can do... kind of book. It is really powerful routines).

I have a couple Phoenix stripper decks and they are hands down 1000% better than the Bike decks I own.

Belly strippers are the best and easiest and can be dropped and turned the wrong way round and still work perfectly for OOTW imo Tarik 🙂

I've just ordered some from Alakazam in the UK. Alan Sands has some some designed for ootw, and another for his own memorised deck routines. I'm guessing they stock at the USA site.

I did look it up and vaguely remember seeing this once before http://www.penguinmagic.com/p/S22715 I always thought that bellies were quite expensive because you used to have to custom order them. I 'think' that I remember Todd Lassen selling a few decks of Fournier Belly Strippers (the Lee Asher 605's I think) that you could have custom cut to order. My memory is not great but IIRC, it was a few years ago and they were in the $45 a deck area? (With no routine included). This Penguin deal (actually this Alan Sands product) Is probably a decent price since it comes with a DVD of routines / ideas for using them in different effects. Hopefully, they are made well (quality wise) for the price. The fact that one deck is made specifically for OOTW is nice too. Since I have never personally owned or used a belly stripper deck, I can't really comment on whether it is better than a side or end stripper but logic tells me that you do have a point that it could be dropped or shuffled "out of order" and still give the same results. For now though, I will stick to my Phoenix decks.
