Dollarbill - I often use mine even without a belt when I have none. The only visible thing is the outside mag on the shirt. I just used a sharpie and made it black instead of silver and then wear it more to the back then right on my left and right. Closer to where a back pocket would be. Holds like a champ even fully loaded. Invisible from 270 degrees in front. People behind would think it is a button. Brilliant device. I love how it holds one or four dollars and automatically adjusts tension. Fantastic buy!

I've been looking at Transient Coins, Super Triple Coin double face, and casino triple split. Anyone have any preferences or advice?

Any set you would recommend over the others, getting everything is a bit pricey

Absolutely hands down the best of the three, the most versatile and the biggest bang for the buck is JJ Casino Trip Morgan replica. Cannot tell they are not Morgans. $110 and a lifetime of fun!

I am not a fan of Ray's coins. (Transient) He's creative but to me all his work looks like it came out of a machine shop. Rough around the edges on his coins, rings, etc. Hate to say it but it is my personal experience. Super Triple is better but I hate the stickers they use. They wear. You get a couple extra but they look like stickers and do not clink right. If you are getting JJ's you don't need the others. OR - if you get ANY of these you will be happy. My vote is JJ and his online tutorial is thorough and well presented.

One of the most respected contributors to the coin world on this (or any) board is MB217. I believe his hands down choice is also stated as JJ's. If you like IKE Dollars JJ has the Casino in those for $100. I'm a Morgan guy and love that he used really great replicas. Good luck!

Produce 3 (reaction), transform all three (big reaction), then vanish all (reaction). So good! Move one to the next thing.
JJ's coins look like Magician toys to me (and I don't "gamble theme"). I won't use them. *don't care who endorses them.
Triple TUC is wonky. Doesn't look clean (from side), requires more "finesse" (doesn't play well w/ other TUCs) and doesn't give you the kicker-change.
Hobbyist Opinion. Your mileage may vary.
It's not their senses that mislead, it's their assumptions.

I enjoy watching workers present all the wonderful magic in John's set...This is so good! Smile

And as in all John's work it's full of quality craftsmanship, real magician thinking, and from it some wonderful coin magic has come. Smile

Gregory Wilson also has his new “split focus” routine... which is a triple coin routine available in Ike’s or Replica Morgan’s. It’s the same gaff as Johnny Wong STC. It’s a pretty fun routine.

I have Sucker Punch and Roy Kuepper's Hopping Halves (Expanded, Half Dollar).
If I were to add to my coin collection, what would you recommend that could have multiple uses? (most bang for the buck).
Magic is a hobby so budget is a concern.
Thank you for your views.

Well, besides a "Triple Split Coin," you might look into something like a C/S coin...Whole lot of magic in such a simple little coin, and it won't blow your budget. Smile

Good journey to you. Smile

I have Sucker Punch (which I used for practice) and HH (my go-to coin trick, but I add a third Chinese Coin to make it an international routine). This may have already been suggested, but if you're a hobbyist, I'm assuming you have Dime & Penny and Scotch & Soda. If not, those are essential little gems that I still perform often.

I've ventured into higher-priced items (N2, N3 and N4 coins come to mind), but always fall back on the ones I mentioned. I agree that some basic gaffs like C/S (mentioned above) and a Chinatown Half will get you a lot of mileage, but I would argue that "bang for your buck" does not always necessarily equal multiple uses. I've dazzled a room of 150 students with the Dime & Penny. Just my opinion. Smile
