An extra question for those that have used these various sprays, if I were to use any of these sprays on a bic lighter would it aid the grip when using a p****e move or would it just end up with dust etc stuck to the lighter due to the stickiness of the spray ?

Thanks for the input,it's only with the bic lighters that I struggle due to dry hands however when my hands have a little moisture it's easy.
The simple answer as you say is to lick the fingers however I would prefer to avoid that if possible. I might try a bit of super glue on the sides as Wravyn mentioned. |

I've used Krylon Matte Finish 1311 for years, but once I tried a Roughing Stick the paint can went on the shelf.
(I'm still trying to figure out what household tasks need clear paint.) I never make my own decks, I just restore the function of worn decks. The stick is expensive, compared to paint, but much easier to use, and lasts a long time. |

What effects could you possibly do with a "Roughed" deck besides an invisible deck kind of trick?

I also use Harry Robsons roughing stick for making Invisible Decks, I use the long side of the stick and swipe over the middle of the cards twice. Every so often I'll go back and refresh my deck for the occasional cards that loose their tackyness.

I like the roughing stick as well, although I can see the roughing material— it’s not completely invisible. Anything I’m doing wrong?

JoshDude,
I don't know the answer to your question, but I know there's a lot you can do. Don't give up -- look for videos on the web, start a new thread on the Café with your question, look at Penguinmagic.com and vanishingmagic.com, and I'm sure you'll get some answers. And I hope you won't give up on the Café because of one unpleasant response. Most people here are really helpful. Bob |

I've had trouble finding Krylon Matte and got the same result with Krylon Triple-Thick Crystal Clear Glaze 0500.
