My presentation for Brian Watson's Anytime, Anywhere Cups and Balls. When I'm not dressed in clothing where I can have droppers handy, this is my 'go-to' routine. (And yes, it's still a work-in-progress.)

Thanks, Kent. I realized that there is no 'one size fits all' cup routine. So, I have a chop cup routine, this routine, and the 'pull out all the stops' routine that requires a wand, a jacket, some peculiar and impractical gimmicks, and a circus elephant. (OK; I was kidding about the elephant.) I like each one of them for different reasons.

Great story!I would love to see this in front of an audience for their reactions.

Well done! And the fedora almost gives you that Sinatra vibe.

My library uses LC. Otherwise, it is a good routine.
I would also like to see it with a live audience. There are parts that seem a bit slow, but if you are connecting with people, it would just be giving them time to keep up. I need to get my cups out again. Patrick |

Thanks for sharing - That's a great script - it puts some emotion into the routine.

<Sigh!> CASPER College. (I've got to do a better job of checking spelling before I post.)

I am new to cups and balls, just got my first set from Brian Watson and am working on this routine myself. Watching not only Brian’s presntation, but now also yours, helped me with a few things I found difficult. Thanks for posting! |

I enjoyed this, Barry. I don't know if there really was a Chet from years ago, but I could "see" him as you told the story. In my mind he looked a lot like a magician named Ziggy who owned the magic shop here. Have you considered having things from the toy shop appear as the final loads instead of the white balls?

Chet was a real person whose toy shop in Casper, Wyoming was called (you guessed it) Chet’s Toy Chest. When my friends from Casper saw the video, they were delighted that I was paying homage to someone they knew when we were growing up. He really was a good guy.
Using toys as final loads is an interesting idea. I’ll have to think about the possibilities. By the way, the yellow tennis balls at the finish do have a connection to the first line in the presentation. (The balls are clearly marked with the name ‘Wilson’.)
