I love this trick..... but I practiced the thumb peel of the giveaway page for 3 days and still didn't get it... maybe my fingers are too dry.... I just can't retain one page half way on the turnover like Martin does... any tips on this guys?

Not sure if this has been asked already( sorry if I'm repeating a question) but are all of the paper the same? Thanks

Gwilym, it is the same card if that's what you mean.

It appears that the video on vimeo by Martin on addressing the 'Jerky rise'is no longer working? I have tried to put the password in this morning several times as I am experiencing a similar issue with the product. I know there is a download that comes with the purchase that shows how to open the gimmick, however it does leave out an important 'sticky-tape aspect'.

Then just play with it until you find what is most comfortable for you to separate the sheet from the gimmick and cover. The main thing is that it is not a speed move. You don't have to do it super quick. In fact, too fast looks suspicious. Just take it nice and slow and at an even pace. Once you find the best way for you, you will become faster and smoother. I found that if I bend the right lower corner a little of the paper hand-out sheet I can slip a finger in the break and this just makes it easier for me as my hands are very dry too. |

I have drawn mine on with the marker supplied so if I do change my mind I can go back to drawing it as instructed.

Martin is a true gem. Reminds me of my teacher growing up. I hope he continues to create for decades to come. Cardio is a very rare game-changer in magic that has literally remained relevant for decades. Not many other effects can say the same. I remember making my own stage version years ago and it was a nightmare. Reset was a giant pain. Fast forward to this mini version and not only is the handling and rising much smoother and more stteamlined, the reset takes less than 5 seconds. Unbelievable. The true modernization of a classic. And the way he’s designed it so you can actually draw on the page and still reuse it every time is simple genius. My only wish is that he would sell two or three versions so we could buy a few and be able to use this strolling with different force cards. That would be ideal.
All in all, I didn’t really think I would like the close up version but i’m happy to say I was wrong. Might be my fav version. |

I've had this about a week. Showed it to a few friends and family and all were impressed. Some thought it may be the pen, some thought may have some thing to do with the pad, others were just stunned. It doesn't matter what they think really , as it's so visual. I had a problem with the jerky rise for a while but the video Martin made quickly taught me how to correct that. Its a beauty now...rising perfectly. I took it to a professional gig in London tonight. One long bloody table off 45 bankers. So I performed this 3 times and I had brilliant responses from it. Especially when they request to touch the the risen card, and you happily tear it off and give it to them. This is a very impressive piece of kit and thank you Martin for creating it and putting it out there. I pride myself in doing a fair bit of technical material because it makes me feel good as a professional. However, this effect is really easy to perform, allows you to be relaxed in your presentation, and packs a big punch. I am so happy to hear he will be producing different cards to rise in November. You will be able to perhaps alternate the options in the pad and therefore able to do it more frequently, without creating suspicion. Thank you to Mark from Saturn magic and Barry Gotleson above who mentioned what and how they left off the extra drawing bit that I also don't feel is needed. I have just drawn in the extra bit, so no rubbing necessary. Good job Martin!

I must eat my words from the start of this post - it sounds like a big winner and I was wrong.

Hi Saysold1, it's never easy to predict how an effect will go down, but big of you to make the admission. It's a goodie!

Received this today. Bought from Mark at Saturn Magic, excellent service as usual, Thanks Mark.
This is an excellent bit of kit. I Have been a fan of the larger version, but I am super happy that this close up version has become available. This is the best effect I have bought this year.
