I subscribed to the Genii but the app does not work well on either my phone or my tablet. It downloads the first issue but after that it all seizes up and I cannot access other editions nor download for offline reading. I'm wondering if anybody else has had this use and if so, how you have solved it assuming you have?

We put up a new version of the app. Have you deleted the old app and tried the new version?

It's still incredibly average and hard to use - I came to the forum to see if anybody else found it pretty much unusable.
Issues vary from the actual experience browsing through the content of the issues (where the user interface is slow and terrible) to the fact it doesn't keep any issues loaded into memory (which means if you switch to another app and then back, it's likely you'll have to reload the issue you're reading and renavigate to the place you were at). All of that is compounded by the load times to get to any older issues, which are unacceptable. It makes reading old issues pretty much impossible. Does anyone know if the iOS app is any better? |

I have iPhone, iPan Mini and a Galaxy Note 10.1” tablet (running an older version of android). I actually prefer the android. It works fine for me.

My Galaxy Note 10.1 is running 5.1.1 Lollipop. I can view both Genii and Magic without any problems. My Galaxy Note 8" runs an older version of android (4.4.2 KitKat) this device doesn't load Magic Magazines although I can bring them up. If I try to load them, it just re-loads the last Genii I was viewing. This would lead me to believe it may be an "Android Version Problem". My iPhone and iPad mini (both updated to current OS) runs both Genii and Magic smoothly.
However, as I stated before, I prefer it on my larger Galaxy Tablet since I can turn it sideways and get the feel of a real magazine.

Personally, I use an iPad Pro to view the magazine digitally.
