Hello,
I would like to ask is there any CTW requires no palming skill? SInce I am not confident enough to do palming, I am afraid that I cannot handle CTW well. I am not trying to fish any secrets, if you think this is not appropriate to answer this Q, just forget it. Thanks for your help. regards, Hirase

There are some specialy made wallets which makes using them much easier. I'm trying to be carefull what I write!
Talk to a dealer. Palming a card is not to hard, its really just a case of going for it. Most routines have built in misdirection and after the first time you will wonder why you worried. Eddie |

Yes, there are some 'No Palm' Card to wallets out there. The site http://www.wizardcraft.com has a couple of them advertised too.

I'm assuming you mean Card To Pocket, not Card Thru Window.
A very easy way to do it is to have a double backed card in your pocket. Control the card to the top. Pull the double-backed card out of your wallet, and do a double lift. No palming! |

Harry Murphy made an excellent post reviewing some of the no-palm wallets for the CTW effect. Here it is:

A Mullica wallet doesn't require a palm, but the wallet isn't your "standard" sized wallet. its one of the long ones (not sure the exact type)

Hi,
there are indeed many diiferent types of wallet that do not require any palming for a "card to wallet" type of effect. -Pimpernel wallet http://www.camirandmagic.com/ -ELITE GARNIER 3 FUNCTIONS WALLET (KAPS, LePAUL, Mullica) http://www.camirandmagic.com/ -Mullica wallet If you decide on the Mullica Wallet I STRONGLY recommend that you check David Parr's routine from his book "Brain Food", it is AWESOME!!! (he has some nices touches that make it a miracle!) Ronnie Lemieux Montreal Canada

Its a bad trick you don't want to learn and I never do it myself...Heh heh heh nope never. just forget all about it.

Fear of palming is something I think most have starting out, or even long after. I too was afraid of palming for the simple reason I thought I would get caught. I never had a problem palming a card or cards, transfering from hand to hand, handing the spec a deck with the same hand palming a card, etc...
I didn't find the skill difficult. But my mind found it to be feared for the possibility of getting caught. I decided to do some simple effects with basic misdirection that required palming. They went off without a hitch. And since then it has become a skill I use every time I perform. As another poster said, "just go for it." |

You could use roughing fluid to rough the face of a specific card (for example, the Queen of Clubs) and the back of an indifferent card. Force the Queen, "lose" it in the deck, and show the card has vanished. Have a duplicate in your wallet, or even a friend's wallet!
