I see this comes with slides, do you have to use a slide to load? The one thing I never liked about the Robson wallets was the need to have a slide. While the JOL is big, the fact th4e slide is essentially built into the body of the wallet is a huge plus.

But this wallet is my answer to an old design which I feel does not represent my style! My wallets use a slide yes! I find it as easy to load as any other wallet! |

The long card gag is a nice alternative to a slide and you remove it for the gag after the load.
Plus it offers great motivation to go to your breat jacket pocket. Not an original idea by any means, but if youve never heard of the long card idea, its worth exploring. So I assume the slide needs to be removed after the load and left in the pocket? Or do you just shove it in the wallet after the load? Ditching the slide does require that extra move that ive never liked, hence the long card idea. Im on the fence. . Itchy buy finger. |

The actually operations of the wallet as performed, well I don’t want to go into that on an open forum for obvious reasons. There are a few independent reviews coming out soon that should give you a good idea if this is the one for you. I’m the creator and I could be biased! I do use it at every gig! 😏 |

PG performs it without using an envelope. The question is does he use the w**** s**** or something else to load the card?

Re the PG routine, it is very good. It's actually, more or less, John Mendoza's routine for the Bendix Bombshell but adapted to a L0@ding wallet and minus a subtlety or two. I'm sure it was a case of independent invention but thought I'd point to an earlier source for a very similar (and indeed identical as far as audience is concerned) effect.

Recently bought the Rebel Wallet, here's my review...
This is an excellent wallet. Very nicely made, looks great (aesthetically and won’t arouse any suspicion), and is about as small and slim as a C2W could ever be. Along with the wallet, you get some Bonsalopes, and some extras so that you can pre-set several envelopes for an evening’s walk-around. It’s a slide-style load and straightforward to use. The instructions are thorough and include footage of Gerard using the wallet in the real world. The routines he performs are strong, and show that Gerard has used the wallet a lot and considered every detail. Up until now, I’ve been using a C2W with a zip compartment, which I don’t think always needs an envelope, allowing me to use it in a more jazz/impromptu way. The Rebel Wallet doesn’t have a zip and I think the effect is therefore strengthened considerably by the envelope. This isn’t a criticism of the wallet, it just means that I need to modify my routines. It’s small size means you won’t be able to keep lots of packet tricks in there, it’ll hold a few notes, credit cards and business cards. The soft leather means you could stretch it a bit if you wanted to. I am going to switch to the Rebel Wallet, largely because of how it looks – an elegant, modern, high-quality wallet. Many magicians favour the slim-suit look these days, and it’s the only wallet I’ve seen that fits that style. Highly recommended. |

I've experimented using Bonsalopes and slides with a few different wallets and feel that there's a bit too much fumbling. Even seeing the creator perform it now, I feel the same way.

It can also be loaded faster than seen in the video. In the explanation video, there are real world performances which give a better sense of the timing in actual performance. It can be loaded as fast as any other card to envelope in wallet! Saying that, everyone has a preference! And thank you for your concerns! G |

That's the purpose of Harry Robson's design - the clue is in the term 'Instant Reset'. As for this 'new' wallet - as I've only ever possessed a single Debit Card (managing to live my life without credit) where exactly do you put your currency notes? I don't need a wallet for little bits of plastic - I always prefer to carry a wad of cash. Seems a tad pricey as well if I'm honest.

The jol takes moments to reset, I do it in front of Spectators all the time. When practiced it's simple. No toddling off anywhere needed.

Whilst Harry's design allows for an instant reset I personally find it looks fishy - as does loading the JOL wallet. I'm sure many do load them openly and are happy they are being deceptive but I personally don't think I'd get away with it. The advantage of the Rebel Wallet is that the reloading looks EXACTLY like you're putting an envelope in the wallet - which is because that's exactly what you're doing. Nothing fishy to see - and you can't say the reloading of either the Robson or the JOL wallet "just" looks like you're putting an envelope in the wallet. As to price - it's a quality product and priced accordingly. I think it works out around the same price as a JOL. |

My review to help anyone interested (Rebel and JOL plus small version = same price)
Here is the thing: Owned a) 2 JOL Plus wallets b) Harry Robson HOW instant reset c) The Badger Wallet NEVER liked the slider options for b) & c) wallets... not a very good solution while working close-up/strolling/table2table JOL Plus small wallet not the best to use inside suit pocket, not light. I was reluctant to order another card to envelope wallet slider model BUT Glad I Did!!! HERE comes the game changer, REBEL Wallet! 1. CARD LOAD * easy/perfect 2. ENVELOPE RESET * you will laugh while doing it // I didn't understood how he did it by the demo video BUT it’s way clever! 3. SLIDERS * you will laugh how they simply work // Genius idea 4. LEATHER * good quality leather, smells good 5. DESIGN * small, slim, compact! 6. SPECTATOR * can take the envelope out from the wallet * love it! 7. INSTRUCTIONS * HD video quality and 3 live performances that are a joy to see Gerard and the wallet in action. SCORE * 5 out 5 Gerard I'm a lucky man, glad I ordered the wallets combo option with special TMC discount. Thank you so much for releasing your ideas to us, can’t wait to see other releases from you in the future. Boy you can see i’m really excited with this product, a breeze to use and now it makes sense the quotes in the website. Have a great day everyone! |

Yes, that is exactly what I am saying. I have got very good at it, fast and I use a little thing called Misdirection so no one notices. If I think someone might I just do it while walking to the next group.
Not sure why you are so fascinated by this. There isn't any downtime to kill (at least not in /my/ performance, perhaps you are projecting, I don't know...) How much downtime do you need to kill to reload a jol? |
