Thank you for your post. While initially he intentionally told Teller to put his hand against the glass, he then toldTeller to lower his hand so the magic could happen. I was trying to put out that positioning of the spectator's hand underneath the glass is extremely important for the final phase of the trick to work properly. If the hand is either too close or too far away from the glass, it will not work. Thank you for pointing out my mistake of suggesting that Teller's initial hand placement was an error. IT was done for intentionally for dramatic purposes.

I am also concerned that a spectator might look at the coins in his hand immediately after the last penetration due to his excitement. Do you consider taht to be a fiar and reasonable concern?

Thank you for your opinion.

That’s one of the things I like best about how this effect is choreographed. It’s difficult for either spectator to grab the coins because their hands are occupied.

It wasn’t done for dramatic purpose. It was done for a methodological purpose as well as reducing the risk of the exposure of a little something Smile

They also wouldn’t tinker around with the coins because their free hand is holding the plexi. This routine is very well orchestrated with everything being perfectly justified.

Thank you very much for your comment. I certainly see your point. Perhaps I was just over reacting without thinking it through.

Thank you also for your comment and opinion. Based upon your comment, I can see how I am wrong in my initial opinion. I should watch the clip again with an open mind without a knee jerk reaction and to see how a spectator would see this effect. Thank you very much for your post.

Firstly, I should say that I do not perform any coin magic. So, when I watched this routine on Fool Us, I was blown away. Not only by the magic, but by the beauty of the routine. I know some comments have been about the concern of carrying this 'table top' around with you. I would suggest that carrying this around with you will only enhance your performance - I'm sure it's not too heavy! When you perform walk around and get people involved by holding the glass table top, it will make your show that much bigger and more impressive. Suddenly you may find that you have a crowd gathering around, instead of a few people. The magic moment for me was when the coin penetrated the glass and fell into Tellers hand - that was a 'wow!' moment! Imagine the 'wow' moment for a lay audience. They will be crushed by this! I just may become a coin magician now simply because of watching this routine! Congratulations Alex on your beautiful routine.

I don’t think there is any doubt this a specialty item. To me it looks like a lot of “kit” for the viewing audience without projection. That said I am sure a working pro or dedicated amateur knows what the want. Alex is a vey skilled coin worker and his previous releases have not been for everyone. Maybe the Gaffs help out her. Waiting for reviews

It’s perfect effect for that special table or client that you would like to impress. I recall that Michael Close would have Dean’s Box stashed behind his piano at
The Monte Carlo Casino and used it in much the same way. This is not a strolling piece to be performed at every table. It is something special that can (and should) be saved and used to make a lasting impression.

Can't wait to receive this! I did get in on the first batch and will post my thoughts when it arrives. I will not save this for something special or to make a lasting impression. I will be performing this as much as I can for whoever I can at my gigs. This looks to be an awesome piece that everybody will remember for a long time and I believe should be performed for everybody. Now, if I have an appointment to try and sell a gig, then yes, I will be taking this. I have heard this is super practical so we shall see soon!

If the spectators are holding the glass top in both corners that helps surely with the question of grabbing the coins?

Agree. Heck, even Teller didn't try and grab it. Why? He couldn't. I think this routine has been well thought out using the tray.

Getting closer to ship time!!!!!

Agree. This is going to be a classic.
