That's a great name - Melissa is cool but I mean flexi chick!
It caught my eye because I am neither flexi or a chick.
If you want great info on being an assistant try to find some old Genii magazines with articles by Carol Roy and I think there were some earlier by Roberta Griffin - she and her husband, Ken, toured an illusion show.
There have been some great female assistants such as Diana Zimmerman who were just as good when they did an act of their own.
Let's face it, being a good assistant or "straight man" for a comedian takes as much skill as being the "star" of the act anyday (but don't tell that to the magician you assist).
