About 5-10 years ago I seem to recall there was a wonderful documentary (History Channel ?) on Dark Rides. It's possible it was first shown around Memorial Day weekend.

Does anyone else recall this and the name of it?

Any other details would be greatly appreciated.

The one I’m thinking of May have been aired 10 years ago, but was made 20 years ago by Discovery. It’s called “Funhouse” and you can view it (along with the 90’s commercials that accompanied) here:
