Happy to hear it! Took the fam to see him when we were in Vegas a couple of years ago and everyone loved it. We chatted with him after the show and he couldn't have been nicer, one of the good guys for sure!

A few years ago when Mac was in Colon for the Abbott's Get-Together, I had the chance to talk with him about his relationship with Harrahs. I wanted to do that because, as many of you know, the Casino industry in Las Vegas has become increasingly "Corporate", and by "Corporate", I mean dispassionate. This was highlighted to me during a conversation I had with my friend Johnny Thompson when we were booked for the same event (Houdini Club) in 2011, and I asked Johnny....."How's everything going in Las Vegas?".
Johnny's reply was..."It's just not the same since the Mob left town." Case in point: The "Falling out" that Lance Burton had in April of 2010, when he decided to NOT renew his contract at The Monte Carlo when the new owners wanted to cut costs, and Lance decided that he didn't want any part of that. Kinda hard to say NO to $100 Million, but Lance has STANDARDS. Here is a link to an article from The Las Vegas Sun that highlights this: https://lasvegassun.com/vegasdeluxe/2010......ears-ea/ So, all-in-all, I'm delighted that Mac's contract was renewed, because, not only is he a great magician, but as Richard Hughes says, he's an all-around nice guy....Just Like Lance is and always has been. Magic acts have always been one of the Hallmarks of the Las Vegas entertainment industry since day one, and I sincerely hope that this continues. Break A Leg, Mac! |

Mac is a great guy and I'm glad to hear he will be at Harrah's even longer. I got a chance to meet him briefly about 20 years ago while he was on tour. I also met him again about 2 years ago before and after his show at Harrah's. He was very kind to my girlfriend and me. Took plenty of time to talk to us and made sure to toss pieces of the rope our way during his rope routine.

Glad to hear that. Have only been to Vegas once, and didn't get chance to see him. But we're planning on going again soon, and Mac will be on the top of the list.
