I don't see anything in this performance that looks like a rushed teenager. I'd say it's smooth as silk.

And of course what many - certainly countrymaven, don't realize is that I'm working to the live audoemce - I can't control what the camera sees. Take my word for it - a "word" from quite a few decades of experience - my audiences NEVER see anything but a cut - that's it - they don't see even the "bit" that seen on camera in the above video. No way to misdirect a camera - particularly when my entire attention is on the live audience.

Thanks I would write a book. But in this day and age everything gets ripped off . What is the point in making a few grand at most, then giving away secrets that are copied and sold for nothing.
I know it is unpopular to be particular about moves. But doing so paid off big in my bottom palm. I ended up finding the same thing in Marlo. It is not about originality. It is so clean and smooth, invisible, and can be done one inch away from specs. They never suspect you are palming or could even be thinking of it. So that is the positive side of being unpopular and, like Hobbs, being fairly picky about what moves you do. The result for me has been pulling off miracles, not just what is perceived as card manipulations. But I am a pro so maybe my needs more refined than things like L;s Invisible Pass Routine or the L. Spread Control or the ultra move. Or the halo cut. I have nothing against anyone. I just learned from Hobbs that there is nothing wrong with asking can this be done better. don't point me to an old book as an excuse. It has to work smoothly invisibly, and inches away. seamlessly. If not I have no use for it. I have to pay the bills with this. It is far easier when their jaws hit the floor. But I could be wrong. Maybe I have the Hobbs card sleight brain virus? |

Absolutely - stick to the things that work for you. Then you can eventually put them in a book - the magic world, I'm sure, will look forward and await breathlessly! And of course, then you'll be able to definitely point out the moves of mine that simply don't work - so that the many thousands over the decades, and all over the world, can stop using them. Why waste their time with those when they can do yours? ("A few grand at most"??!! - you've given me my laugh for the day!)

Most of my "stuff" makes "jaws hit the floor," incidentally - which is why two of my best-selling magic books are JAW DROPPERS ONE and JAW DROPPERS TWO - which I'm sure you've purchased. Ha!

No, no, sorry, JAW DROPPERS ONE is old out - has been for a long time - but I'll put aside a copy of JAW DROPPERS TWO for you - because that, too, is heading toward "sold out." Oh, wait - you probably have "no use for it"!

There have been Card men who have made good livings and successful careers doing their whole act from Closeup Card Magic. Study, practice, understand, and perform, before you judge. |

Thanks magicfish - you said it much better than I could - and the way I'd really like to say it --- would get me banned! Amazing to me that those who don't have any idea of what they're talking about just keep "talking about"! Obviously not helping anyone - doing just the exact opposite.
I'm curious as to how long this guy has been into magic - would be curious to see how it compares to my 80+ years of experience with card magic - doing my moves "like a teenager"! Incredible.

What I've written a few times comes to mind (I just love "maven" in his avatar):
What is TERRIFIC about the internet: It gives everyone a voice. What is TERRIBLE about the internet: It gives everyone a voice! The bastion of cowardice and anonymity. (And in many cases - the bastion of stu... - no let's just say - the bastion of "lack of knowledge."

To me being professional is making a living off it. why try so hard to defend a sleight that you didn't even make up?
It took me very little time to figure out how to make this sleight invisible. Is this wrong, to see what is obvious even in a grainy video? |

Professionalism is nothing to do with money. Harry Lorayne is a consummate professional and in my almost 20 years here I have never once seen him enter a thread to put someone else down. He does not put down others’ creations. And yes, Mr. Lorayne most certainly did invent the HaLo Cut.
You on the other hand are a put- down artist. You have never created anything and you’ve contributed nothing to the literature nor to this forum. A shameless, mean spirited, put down artist- and an obvious troll. Shame on you. |

Yes, I am the devil. nobody knows what magicians have created. I have marketed effects before, but now I don't consider it worth the bother. I am successful at business and magic. I don't need to share things for a small amount. Do you know the history of your idol? what he did to Kaufman? It is no secret what I am sharing but I apologize for bursting your bubble. Do you make a living from magic? This applies to the ultra move too. sorry just rushing to publish something you took from someone else or another source does not mean it is yours.
To you, professionalism is who you like. Only you could define it. Oh, some people do nothing but put down others. And promote themselves, no matter who they run over to get there. |

Yes. Yes you are. Now go Park in a handicap spot and bud in front of an old lady. Oh, be sure to kick over a homeless mans tin cup.
Merry Christmas, and thankyou for making the world a better place. |
