I never used a hedgehog in my show before. As a matter of fact, I never raised one. I am presently contacting individuals online about purchasing a hedgehog. I might be purchasing one tomorrow. Any comments about raising one?

I advise you to do a search on Youtube dealing with hedgehogs. There are a lot individuals giving a lot of helpful information. The hardest part is picking one up.

I named mine "Spikey."

Here's some stuff you might be able to use to give Spikey a place in your magic show:

You might take one of those story books and use it to produce Spikey from the book at the end of the story. Hedgehogs are burrowing animals, so he might even make himself appear from the book if you trained him to climb through an opening on cue.

That's more than I wanted to see. However, this morning I went to Dollar Tree and found a fuzzy little hedgehog just like Spikey and about the same size (though not as realistic, of course) in with the Pet Toys. If you are looking for a pretty good look-alike Hedgehog doll to transform into the live Spikey, that might work.

I just don't understand why I am adoring my hedgehog so much. I am closer to him than my other pets. I even put two cages for him back to back in my bedroom. I play with him every night.

I wonder if I am so attracted to him so much because of one of the following:

1. His cuteness.
2. Because they must be cared for so much because their life span is only 3 to 6 years.
3. It looks more unusual compared to my other pets. (dove, rabbit, guinea pig and chinchillas.)
4. Fun to play with because they are not fast like a rabbit or chinchilla.
5. Really exotic.
6. I want to spend time with him because it takes time for one to get to know you.

I am thinking about breeding hedgehogs.
