Hey all,
I am writing an impressions/review of Dr. Larry Barnowski's newest offering titled Magica IV. Look for the post this week. In the meantime, brush up on Fulves's RSC Multiple Shift as it used in a few of the wonderful routines in the book. In fact, I want to add the RSC Multiple Shift to my "Favorite Utility Move" thread. Until I did my read throughs of Larry's new book, I had forgotten just how versatile this sleight is. Larry teaches it in an earlier work and you can also find the sleight in Duffie and Robertson's Card Conspiracy volume two with a number of routines using the sleight for different purposes. I am adding this paragraph for the coin guys. There's a lot of good coin magic in the book and if you are familiar with Larry's genius for creating beautiful effects and you have access to the tools you need to construct them, you'll find some real showpieces Here's the skinny or, as Millenials like to notate, the "tl; dr" of the new book. If you are already a fan of Larry's work, you're going to love the book so for you folks, it's an insta-buy. For those like myself who are new to his work, there are some really great routines in the book. There are two I want to add to my repertoire immediately. Best, Vlad |

Looking forward to Larry's latest here...Every book so far has been a wonderful collection of original magic from a very clever and capable worker and Café member.
Another magical must-have from The Good Doctor.

I've been in bed with this book the last couple of nights, and just love it!
There's just so much in it as to cards and coins, and some really wonderful effects as to coins. The writing is clean and crisp, and I just love the photography as to every step. Right up close, just so vivid and well-shot. It's nice to have two things that truly compliment one another as to explaining each effect. All of the Doc's books are chock full of good, interesting magic, and this new offer continues to hold its own and does not disappoint. And I just love in some of the effects, Larry shows that he is a man of many talents and wood craftsmanship is one of them, especially as to a few of his very clever coin routines. Like I said, there's a lot of great new magic in this big book, and I continue to HIGHLY RECOMMEND every page of whatever is written and given this much creativity, professionalism and love by this fine Café member. We truly are lucky to have this most magical doctor in the house.

I recently received Larry's new book. First impression, it is beautifully done, strong spiral spine, heavy paper. Beautiful work on the layout and color photos. Appears meticulously written. The coin effects are varied, and not run of the mill. There are props to use that will make the magic look more interesting. I am looking forward to reading the effects more in detail. Great job!
