My goal is to build a magic table for birthday shows in which all the sound equipment is self contained in the lower section of the table. I want to be able power everything without having to look for an available outlet at the performing location. I have a Mackie Freeplay PA which is battery operated. I need either a battery operated wireless receiver/mic combination, or power a wireless receiver with a power inverter that has a A/C outlet built in. I've gotten mixed messages on using a power inverter. I've heard that the power inverter won't work as it causes EMI noise. However, I have heard of others using them. Does anyone have a recommendation on a good quality battery operated receiver? Does anyone have experience with Power Inverters and wireless receivers?
Thanks! |

Pure Sine Power Inverter will work without hum. Its the Modified Sine inverters that cause problems.
Sennheiser ew 112p g2 or g3. Just Avoid the 600 MHz frequency band. That band got sold to cell phone providers.
Control your Show Music from a PC from 800 ft away with a remote control. Send me a message to find out how......

Gothike has it right, this------> Sennheiser ew 112p g2 or g3
Add a headset/earset mic and you'll be ready to rock! Also, you can use high mAh rechargeable batteries for the Sennheiser mic and not have to replace batteries all the time.

Thanks Gothike for the recommendation and David Garrity for the confirmation. I looked up the Sennheiser EW 112p G2 and G3 on the Internet, and it does look like the perfect solution. I especially like that I can use the XLR input on my PA from the receiver. I believe that will provide better sound quality from what I've read. Again, I really appreciate the responses!
