To add to a previous poster's testing it does work with scan 3d in the casket both sides.

I'm using a kries.

But the tell is the same on both sides under normal conditions

Actually there is a way to tell one side from the other with the Kries half without the detector... play with it a little more Smile

Just back from a Christmas party and this little item produced incredible reactions. After presenting it for one person, someone else wanted to try and so it went on. So simple, so delightful and so much fun.

Hey Neils, How did you perform it. I only know the basic handling.

I have discovered a few detection properties and display methods to make it where you don’t have to ever touch the casket (or see it). I have combined this with a new version of my “Re-Boht” (inspired by Bryn Reynolds, but now much different than his and even my first published version) which hand technique to wonderful effect with this wonderful piece of kit. I can tell them what hand it is in and what side of the coin is up without ever seeing the casket and while they hold it concealed. Just love it.

Hey, John... send me a PM if you want any details... I actually like the tell with the magnet coin (without using a magnet detector) better than a regular half the more I play with it.

NO NO NO! NO magnetic coins! Do you have any idea how hard I worked on this so you didn't have to use one? LOL.
Great ideas all!

Well for a scan 3d which hand in the Casket you need a special coin.

For what it's worth, none of my other Kennedy Halfs work with this.

The 1968 40% silver that came with it is the only thing that I can use.

My two Magnetics, my 1964 90% Silvers, or any of my clad coinage from the 2000's all don't work.

None of my Walking Liberties work either.

I ship a lot with 1964's at an additional cost all the time. I just spoke with Mike Gallo who has one with a 1964 and it never misses. The same with 2000 coins, but in reverse as John mentioned.
As for Silver Walkers, they need to be soft and you will have to match one to the box, but they do work.

We're not making anymore Coin Caskets, but my bother and I are working on a special set of coins for the box that will enable the Casket to
do a lot more for the performer.

Jake: Sorry to disrupt your plans to cease casket productions, but the new coins you produce may create a demand for more caskets.

Some one messaged me about making Sucker boxes to match the Casket, one the Half won't fit and the other the lid won't come off.
Thoughts anyone?
