I was thinking what happened to the quarter size version? Been waiting I still don't see one. The quarter size would be perfect for me. Smile

Mark,

thank you for the purchase. We appreciate it.

As to the other sizes, I spoke with Jake and he said since he would be doing the 1/4 size Jim Zee Roth Set when he gets back, he would start the first run of 1/4 size Coin Caskets.
After the 1/4 box Jim Zee sets, he's going to make the $ size Jim Zee Roth Sets and will also do a run of Dollar Size Coin Caskets. What's nice too is the plastic cases and Briefcases
will accommodate both the 1/4 size and Dollar Size boxes.

On another note. People have been bringing to my and Jake's attention that there is someone selling the Brass Coin Casket on an auction site and were wondering if these were ours
or someone had copied them. These were made by Jake. Jake has a friend in PA. that is retired and lives on a meager fixed income, to help him out just before the release he sent
his friend a bunch of boxes so he could make some extra money. We appreciate everyone looking out for us, but the seller is legitimate and a very sweet gentleman. New customers
can get the caskets through him until he sells out. He doesn't have a lot of them, but he can use the money to supplement his income.

Update on the PDF I have been working on has stalled. I have come up with so many ideas only to find out they are already here in this thread already routined by other performers.
Some have been kind enough to let me include their routines in the e-book, but so far I only have a 1 1/2 pages, I'm totally stalled on this.

I'm not sure when Jake will be returning from overseas, but in the mean time please feel free to call on me for anything.

Sincerely Yours,
Frederick

I found the post about making quarter size coin casket, is this still going to made. I emailed them and PM Mad Jake got no response. Any info or just a yes or no would be welcome. Hope to hear it is still going to happen.

Richard,
than you for the post. The main function on the machine side of the business caters to Marine equipment, boat and ship parts. This is our busy time of year for this. We all live in small fishing towns and cater
to fishing charter boats, fishing trawlers etc. We do alternate between the magic and the marine parts the best we can.

Back to the quarter size. I have to make them for either the state quarters or the Washington quarters. Each is different. But they are still in the works.

As to messaging me, something is going on here on the Café. I had a message that showed up in my box but there was no notification I had messages. When I opened my inbox
there was a message there that was 2 weeks old, but had that days date stamp on it and it was marked Read. I hadn't been into my account for awhile and I checked with my brother
who has access to the account and he told me he had never had time to check. Very strange.

So everyone knows, yes the 1/4 size is still coming first in Washington type and it will be released at the same time as the Jim Zee Quarter Okito box sets.

Kindest Regards,
Jake Jr.

Just to say that I just bought this from the web site and Jake was super quick with a reply.

I have noticed that some of the messages that I am subscribed to send new post notification but sometimes don't. the same with the PM as well.

It seems to be an intermittent thing.

So true! new cards come all the time and so do the emails and the emails of new sponsor release emails... but that's what they pay for so it keeps the Café free (if not a place for truly free speech-again understandable I suppose).

It just happened again this morning to me, but this time it showed new messages, but when I opened my Inbox, it was empty. I like the fact that the Café is putting out notices
on new cards. I'm a deck collector and it has helped me out from having to search KS for new decks. Since the Café is free, I can deal with messages, It's what helps keep the Café
open. Based on the the Café's size, it is not Cheap to run or maintain on the host servers.

Personally I would gladly pay a monthly fee in order to have a much better user experience as well as keeping out the general public. Not to mention bringing it up to date.
But alas, I realize I’m in the minority. Most magicians would rather put that money towards another card trick.

Yes, I was joking about the card notifications - I don't really have a problem with them and have occasionally got a few and I just kinda like the irony of them working but other things not. It's like the occasional double post thing it does - it can have amusing consequences.

I will keep doing this joke until you laugh!

I think I would be willing to - the only thing is there are other platforms that offer the same thing and I am not sure that the Café would be able to compete?

It would be good if it was not as accessible as it is in some respects - but magic shops have never turned away those who are just curious and it would be the death of the Café if it did.

The final version of the US Quarter size is finished. I just need to order some brass stock for it and hope the weather stays cool. This version is for the George Washington Quarters.

Not using the state quarters is an excellent idea IMHO. The standard good old regular back quarters is more practical and by using one of those, you avoid the spectator asking to see the back of the quarter to see which state it is and so on which is disruptive to your presentation and somewhat annoying.

I (and others I am sure) would like to see some demos of this including the extra routines mentioned here. Anyone?

Joe Stevens does a demo of it on their website. We've associated ourselves with a group of older magicians called "Men With Toupees". One of these nice gentlemen, Jamie, has stepped up
and offered to be our demo man for most of our products. We have had an additional dedicated T3 internet connection installed in our one shop that will do live streaming and on demand streaming
using Apple's Quicktime server which supports all computer formats. Quicktime is capable of streaming 250 feeds at a time per server. Frederick is working on 4 new Apple computers setting up
Quicktime, so we'll be able to host 1000 live streams at a time.

The Quarter Coin Casket. I was going to post this in the Workshop, but the advice I need is from real users. The tolerances I mentioned earlier are done for Washington Quarters.

My question is, do I really need to change the OD of the Coin Casket? If some of you could give some guidance here I would appreciate it. You can post here or PM me. I'm hoping that
I can keep it the same size as the half version, just for quarters though. If I have to change the size it might throw me into an odd sized box and create a bunch of waste.

Thank you for any help.

I like the idea of keeping the box the same size. A smaller box will be more difficult to handle for both the spectator and the performer. That could result in dropping it and we do not want that to happen!

In addition, the attractive look of the brass casket would be compromised if it were smaller.

ABSOLUTELY!! We may be, as you say, in the minority, but I too would be more than happy to pay a monthly fee to keep the information on this forum out of the purview of the general public.

This is an old half dollar coin effect sold by Ken Brooke in London England back in the 1970's. He added a special quarter to the set. Later this came out in quarter size in America.

Some stole my set just for the 50 cent piece.

Bill, the effect dates back to the early to mid 30's somewhere in Europe, according to my brother who researched it. If you PM your address I'll send you one to replace your stolen one
and it even comes with a 40% Silver Kennedy.
