John,
if I sent you the $ could you purchase a roll of Canadian quarters for me? I picked up some circulated and they all varied
some worked some didn't. I need consistency, so I'm going to have to go with uncirculated.

Looks like we missed the Sept shipping for the quarter box. Smile

I'm sorry that I missed the hit date on this. I'm just getting into the shop. As soon as I replace a portion of my blood with Coffee I'll back to this thread
and address a few key issues. All of which are fixable.

Will this work with a Franklin Half or just the Kennedy?

Great News! The Coin Casket v2 is in production here now. Some times you over think things and stay stuck that the solution must be with just the one part that is suppose to do the job. Well this morning I cranked out some v2 Coin Caskets for the Washington Quarter version and it worked out fabulous.
A big thank you to those who ordered ahead and stood waiting patiently for my brain to engage. Not many people are willing to do that.
I have enough brass to get me started on 1 run (100) Caskets and more brass coming in on Friday. -MJJ

Got this yesterday and can’t seem to stop playing with it! I love that you don’t even have to touch it. One mere glance can tell you heads or tails! The fact that this thing even works the way it does is itself MAGIC! Jake, if there is a wood version, please let me know!

Thank you for the praise David. The Quarter version is selling just as well as the first one. I'll have to talk to my brother Frederick about a wooden version. That would definitely be a challenge
for him, which he likes. -MJJ

I am fond of nickel plating and we have a local plater here. Just wondering if that would throw off the sensitivity? This is something I will be using a lot and brass patina is not my #1 preference.

I would advise against having it plated, since you own one I think you know why. Plus the contrast of the Silver coin and the brass is nice.

I'm sure you could make him a custom one-off though right Jake?

How thick is a typical nickel plating? I guess you could take double that amount off the insides? At his risk though.

I think your point about contrasting colours is a good one. I don't mind the colour.

I agree with the contrast and I completely understand why plating is ill advised. It's simply a personal preference. I would not hesitate to recommend this to others. Regardless if it's presented as a puzzle or magic trick, it's just beyond impressive how it works! I can not stop playing with it! I have my own prediction idea I'm working on. More to come on that!

Jake, this is the coolest thing I have seen in awhile. I can't wait to see what the future has in store!

Instead of Chrome, how about mirror polished stainless steel?

When are plater plates things for us, it adds 40 microns of nickel and then 30 microns of Chromium. If you add the 70 microns to each part of the casket
you end up with 140 microns which won't allow the pieces to fit correctly or operate correctly. Getting into micron measurements for new boxes would just
be too expensive time wise.

Fast forward to Stainless Steel. A lot easier to do, but the material cost is a bit more. That's why I did a limited run of the Stainless Steel Ball & Tube.

I'll check on the cost of the stainless and let everyone know up front what the retail cost will be. I had quite a number of people request 1/4 size caskets.
Via email through our site, but when it came time, some either never replied back or said they were inquiring about it. "Put me down for 1" is not an inquiry
so I have to figure out how to handle it this time. I do know there will be NO 1/4 size boxes in stainless, only 1/2's.
