Thanks Steve for the wonderful review. I didn't expect a bad review but loved your honesty on one or two issues which in your opinion were marginally less than perfect. Watching this has certainly helped me to make my mind up, (I love all things Giobbi)! and it seems that this set is not just an extension to the books but almost a "sequel" to the four dvd Card College set that I already have. Based on your excellent review and a few other online snippets of information, I made the decision to buy the Limited Edition here in the UK from Vanishing Inc UK at 100GBP. Once again, thanks for a great, if slightly biased but honest and very helpful review.

Thanks for the detailed review. Any comments on the deluxe exclusive dvd ?

I bought the Collector's Edition here in the UK and all I can say is "WOW". From the luxury feel of the presentation box to the actual tuition on the discs, this really is a wonderful set. As yet I have only had a brief look at a few of the chapters on these discs and I am so impressed. The level of detail that Roberto goes into when describing a sleight or move is awesome. The mechanical/technical sleights are interwoven with ideas on psychology, misdirection and some quite simple presentation ideas which take the particular sleight to a whole new level. The relaxed but interesting way that he presents the work makes it totally inspiring and fun to watch and follow along. I have no regrets on deciding to buy the Limited Edition and I am really looking forward to taking the time to study this fully. EXCELLENT!

The content of the extra dvd in the Card Magic Masterclass by Roberto Giobbi:

The Collectors Edition or Deluxe Set has the same 5 masterclass DVDs from the Card Magic Masterclass by Roberto Giobbi and also 1 extra DVD or DVD 6.

DVD 6 is approximately a one hour DVD from 1993
It is Roberto Giobbi and Lennart Green
It Is a Roberto Giobbi Filmed Session with Lennart Green

The box for the regular Card Magic Masterclass by Roberto Giobbi is just a regular cardboard slip case for 5 DVDs
The box for the Collectors Edition or Deluxe Set Card Magic Masterclass by Roberto Giobbi Has the same type of slipcase but it is housed in a leatherette hinged box.

I finally bought the set.
The insights are good and very valuable to cardman.
I must point out that Roberto goes through the material really fast.
This set is really a masterclass and not for a beginner.

Good points. I felt that he did go through the effects pretty fast, which is why I prefer DVD than download. Just seems to be easier to scan back to the right place. Glad you like it though.

I agree it is gone thru fast but not nearly as fast as Daryl’s DVD set “Encyclopedia of Card Sleights” which was more than enough for me many years ago (had them on VHS).
It is still a great learning tool. Especially for those who teethed on his Card College series of books.

Does anyone know if or when there will be a reprint of the Art Of Switching Decks?
