Anyone know where to get one of these?
Hollywood magic has them for $10. yikes. It seemed funny that they were $10 but the Jumbo Pennys were only $3. I just want a cheap one. No need for an expensive penny. Frank

Frank,
You can try Jerry Mentzer...at one time he had them in both 1/2 and dollar size. If he still has them, I'm not sure of the price. If all else fails...there is a marketed effect called Honest Abe. You get a penny just larger than a half along with a 3 inch penny. Mike |

Frank,
Are you looking for a half dollar sized lincoln penny, or would any old penny do for you? The mid 1800's large cents (coronet style) are very close to half-dollar size ( a little thick however), and very cheap if you can live with good to very good condition. I've picked them up for $3-$5 dollars at my local shop. The condition works for me, because the wear is similar to the worn look of walking lib halves and soft morgans. Best, Mike |

Look on Ebay.
Look under category: "collectibles - Fantasy, mythical & Magic - magic" Search for "english penny" They are very cheap on there. |

Frank,
Do those half dollar sized pennies at Hollywood Magic look good? I bought one from them in the late 1980's which was a perfect emulation of a real penny but I lost it. I've been looking for a replacement for years but all the ones I've found have really bad portraits of Lincoln or stupid wording on them that doesn't match a realy penny. |

Frank,
Try The Cuckoos Nest, a magic shop in Pittsburgh. I bought two of them a few years back while visiting family and believe I only spent 2 or 3 dollars for each coin. Check out their website: thecuckoosnest.com ...Doug |

Sorry. To clarify, I'm looking for a Lincoln penny not an english penny. Sorry about that everyone.
