For me: Spanish beef stew that I made last night and let sit for a day.
Tri-tip, onions, garlic, tomatoes, red wine, beef stock, thyme, salt, pepper, and green olives. I'll make up some jasmine rice and serve the stew over that. How about y'all? |

Chicken soup.
Back, and hearts (this chicken apparently had three) and gizzards, and the full breast boiled for three days, then the bones removed and the breast meat shreaded. Added cauliflower, carrots, broccoli, squash. Onion and garlic powder, dark soy sauce, black pepper, pink salt, habanero hot sauce. Four days in the making. |

Okay vegans, stand over here, on *this* side of the line...a woman who cleans for me recently turned vegan, and she laid a guilt trip on me worse than any reformed smoker, back when I smoked...I feel personally responsible for the decimation of the planet, but not enough to turn down one o' them dee-licious ribeyes that Boleware was grilling...I'm so ashamed of being a boomer, everything is our fault. So, tofurkey for Thanksgiving everyone?!?!

So I brought back a lot of it. The peanut butter was just because. I am careful with money though, kids and student loans are not cheap.

Mongolian Beef. Getting better at making it.
Next up Singapore Noodles. My co-worker who’s from there, gave me a few tips to make it more authentic.

Lay's Potato Chips
I still recall the day I met Beaker from the Muppets. He said to me "Meep, meep, mee mee mee Meep!", and that has made all the difference.

I’vedecided to work on improving cooking of tofu. Made tofu stir fry tonight and came out wonderful. Tomorrow plan on making tofu Banh Mi sandwiches. Earlier this summer I canned several jars of picked daikon and carrots.
Since were eating tofu, for dessert made banana chocolate bread pudding with a brown sugar sauce.
