Hi all,Just wondering if anyone can advise on the best place to look for used stage Illusions for sale? (UK based).
I'm on the various Facebook groups and have checked magic auction (doesn't seem to be active?) ebay and Google aren't giving me any decent results either. Is there a forum on here for Illusions for sale? Thanks. Adam |

There is after you make 50 “meaningful” posts.

Yes, after 50 posts you'll see the used stage illusions section of the site. However, I don't see a lot of posts from Europe there. Certainly there have been from time to time, but it's not the usual.
Surplus Magic Exchange has some European members. And magic auction has a "outside usa" section. |

Ohhh I see! That can't be too beneficial to the sellers surely? Thanks for the info though.
Yeah magic auction seems to have the same stuff listed for sale now as there was a good few years ago a d most of the outside the USA stuff still isn't in the UK. Does anyone have any experience with buying Illusions from China Magic /52magic.com? Prices seem comparable to buying a used prop. Thanks again. Adam |

I check magic auction wayyyyy too regularly for my own good. They def. continue to update it.
China Magic / 52magic is a cheap rip-off site. You most certainly want to avoid them. |

Ahh ok great thanks! I thought there'd be a much bigger market for used illusion sales but I'm struggling to find anything in the UK at all.

Im with you AJ! I am looking for a used Magellan and did not know after 50 posts I can see the illusions for sale posts. I better get to posting!
I have ordered from china magic in the past but people here will tear into you if you mention them, so I would avoid being honest about that. I learned the hard way by merely asking about an illusion they sell in a different thread. Cheers mate! Blessings |

You might want to check out Hocus Pocus Magicshop's Private Estate sales. Lots of wonderful stuff passes through. https://www.hocus-pocus.com/magicshop/in......ice=0065

I sold mine years back and now I could do with one again but can't find anything for sale over here. Also looking for a crystal casket and a fire cage too if anyone knows of any for sale. 👍 |

Apparently it also pays to check barns in the UK!

Great story Frank!
@AJ I did not order an illusion from them but have spent quite a bit on many canes/candles finger flashers, flash cotton, street magic, tips, and fire gimmicks. All the appearing canes and staffs are well made and the appearing staff is super magnetic (good steel), color changing canes are made of the same material as the vanishing candles, I believe its a polyester resin. I simply use a rubber stub from the end of real walking canes to get the wrap right for the color change wand. The UFG is incredibly well made and one of my fav flash devices. I want to get their line of magnetic multiplying balls as they look incredible and I have a ball routine and I love magnets so.. Plus they also make a specialized vape-bubble pen that is made to blow smoke-filled bubbles! I also love Finn John. Freight is the downside when ordering, I just splurged a few years back and it was worth it IMO. PM me if ya get something big from em and let me know about it please and thank you! |

Magic Auction. Com. It can be a long process once you agreed to purchase the illusion they notified the seller with your address he figures out the shipping cost then you send a check to Magic Auction they notify the seller he ships it to you you notify Magic Auction that you receive the illusion then they release the money to the seller i’ve had to take as long as a month to receive my money or even longer when I’m selling something

The process of buying an illusion is rarely quick. A month is a lot quicker than getting something custom made.
