Click below to see description of the "Suitability" trick:
https://www.themagiccafe.com/forums/view......orum=205 Even though the Tamariz deck is not as clean as Aronson or Osterlind when doing the "Suitability" trick it can be done effectively by having five cards selected instead of four, however with Tamariz there will be seven pairs of duplicates (2 times 7 is 14 cards). 14 out of 52 cards means that 27% of the time the performer will have to do an equivoque. Example: supposing the five named suits are "Csdcs" then looking at the cheat sheet I have supplied below you see that there are two cards that have that same pattern: Tam Csdcs=5c dup Tam Csdcs=9c dup To the first spectator you say the equivoque statement: "I'm seeing either a 5 or 9 of clubs, your card isn't a five is it?" if they reply "no" you say: "I thought it wasn't. Yours is the nine of Clubs". Now you are home free. If they say "Yes" you say "I thought so". Either way you now know what all 5 cards are. See below for the Tamariz five card "Suitability" sorted cheat sheet. This approach can be used with almost any stack except for those that are very rhythmic such as Si Stebbins. For those that are not rhythmic you will have to figure out and supply your own sorted cheat sheet as I have done with Aronson, Tamariz, and Osterlind. You cannot do this trick with Si Stebbins because every card will have 13 duplicate patterns. Tamariz "Suitability" SORTED cheat sheet: Tam Ccsdc=Ac Tam Cddch=10c Tam Cdhss=Kc Tam Chdch=4c dup Tam Chdch=6c dup Tam Chdcs=2c Tam Chdsh=3c Tam Chssh=Qc Tam Csdch=7c Tam Csdcs=5c dup Tam Csdcs=9c dup Tam Cshcs=8c Tam Cshds=Jc Tam Dccsd=4d Tam Dchdc=10d dup Tam Dchdc=Kd dup Tam Dchdh=9d Tam Dchds=7d Tam Dchss=3d Tam Dcsdc=8d dup Tam Dcsdc=Qd dup Tam Dcshc=Jd Tam Ddchd=5d Tam Dhssh=2d Tam Dshdc=Ad Tam Dshss=6d Tam Hcddc=6h Tam Hcdhs=9h Tam Hcshd=Kh Tam Hdccs=7h Tam Hdchd=2h dup Tam Hdchd=Ah dup Tam Hdchs=Qh Tam Hdcsd=3h Tam Hdshd=10h Tam Hdshs=4h Tam Hsshc=8h dup Tam Hsshc=Jh dup Tam Hsshd=5h Tam Sdchd=Qs Tam Sdcsd=Js Tam Sdcsh=Ks Tam Shcdd=8s Tam Shcdh=5s Tam Shcsh=10s Tam Shdcc=4s Tam Shdch=2s Tam Shdsh=7s Tam Shssh=As Tam Sshcd=3s dup Tam Sshcd=6s dup Tam Sshdc=9s End of Tamariz "Suitability" sorted cheat sheet. |
