How do you accurately estimate exactly 75 seconds, or 50, or 23?
Are you saying that you can stop the watch on the exact time without seeing the face, simply by estimating? And all the while during this estimation you are chatting away and creating a compelling performance? |

[/quote] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A couple of years I saw a performance from Thorsten Havener in a German TV Show. He asked Spec 1 to think of a random time of the day (without saying it). He then took off his watch , pulled out the stem , gave it to spectator 2 and asked him/her to rotate the stem as long as he/she wants to set a random hour (watch facedown !) . While doing so Spec 1 and 2 had to look each other deep in the eyes to "connect". Spec 2 stopped rotating pushed the stem in, Spec 1 said out loud his thought of time. Shortly after Spec2 turned around the watch and .... BAM......it was exactly Spec1´s thought of time. It was really hard hitting. This was the strongest effect with a watch I've ever seen. It was totally hands off. Can this effect achieved with either the Infinity Watch or the T-Watch ,... or any other watches on the market ? I heard that this is not possible with neither the Inf. Watch 2.1 nor with the T-Watch. What do you think ? |

It definitely can be done with the T watch. Once you know the time (however you choose to do so), you can remotely set it in seconds.

Thanks for clarifying, Nathan. I just realized that I can now go „downstairs in this dusty old basement“ , 🤗 . .. . Very interesting ideas there...

Will there be a v3 version coming up soon with the possibility of performing it with the watch facedown?

It’s a nice touch/subtlety to have the watch face down, but I would trade that for seeing the watch working. Technology is not perfect all the time and things happen.

100% accuracy?
As far as the hands stopping at the time? sure. But as fat as a good reason to see the face? no https://youtu.be/VxcMa3WF698?t=192 |

A dealer performed it for me at blackbool and even though he was watching the watch he missed it.He had to start again,so the waiting time was over 2 minutes.

I have it and I perform it without any problem. The watch is hung on a simple acrylic stand facing me. When the thought of time is to be revealed the spectator comes and picks up the watch from the stand. All is explainable.

The BT Radio is quite moody so to say. The BT range and reliability depends on various factors like - Atmospheric condition, RF/EMF/Static/Microwave interference/disturbances, Blockages (like doors/metal objects) as well as other BT device(s) in the immediate vicinity, Indoors/Outdoors, and most importantly the sensitivity of the paired transmitter/receiver (i.e. the cell phone in this case), and the list goes on and on . . .
As we know, the effect was performed inside a transmission studio which is a nasty source for RF/EMF interference/disturbances. This might have caused the delay in sending the requisite info from the Cellphone to the watch and thus inadvertently exposing the effect. However, as seen in the video, Oz Pearlman was quick to take immediate remedial measures by quickly diverting and jumping off the issue and thus avoiding any further queries on this . . . but what was exposed couldn't be undone.

My point is that you should consider, especially with any effect of this type, to make sure the workings did its job and not worry about hiding the face.

How is the battery for the watch holding up. There have been some complaints that it doesn't keep accurate time.

Quote from Penguin magic site review. Is this the norm for this watch.
"so I gave it a five star prior, after having it a bit (the black face gold case version, the gold case white face version is still on backorder) I have to take it down a notch. Why? Well, it looks great, the question everyone asks is can it be an everyday watch, before I said yes. Now, I wouldn't say that. Darn thing loses time like a you know what. As an example I set it yesterday around noon and today it's already lost 40 minutes so it does not keep accurate time. Is it the battery? No idea, I don't know where the darn thing is to change it. If you have one of these watches you would know what I mean, inside it's all electronic and I'm sure as heck not going to try and mess with it or take it to some mall watch place. No one will know how to fix it. Is anyone aware of how to replace the battery for just the time piece or is it all one thing or what? They said the battery should last three years.....well....if it's the battery then that sucks because it's been what a week maybe? The gimmick part does what it says it should I'm just a bit more than upset that it loses time if you use it as a watch which it was advertised as being able to do. Does it need to be charged "daily" to have it keep time? I'll try that and see what happens but it should last a couple of days based upon what they say but that hasn't happened. If someone has an answer to this issue let me know, maybe I'm doing something wrong? |

On May 1, 2019, takeachance wrote: I own two such watches (Black Face - Gold Case & White Face - Steel Case). The watch has two batteries inside. One is a the rechargeable Li-Ion battery (3.7 Volt battery) that requires charging from time to time and it operates the RC Receiver circuit of the watch. The Second one is a tiny battery (right now I don't remember the number of this battery) which runs the watch. The watch battery can be seen hiding under the small cylindrical shaped black sponge (it can be seen next to the 3.7 volt Li-Ion battery). Pull off the sponge and you will see the watch battery. The watch battery can be replaced very easily by unscrewing just one screw. Nothing complicated at all. BTW, the Li-Ion battery has got nothing to do with the timekeeping of the watch. The watch loosing time could very well be due to a weak watch battery. I have set the time on both my watches. Will report back after 24 hours. Hope this helps.

Both my Infinity watches are keeping correct time. I should say they are surprisingly accurate.
