The watch has 2 modes, one when it works like a regular watch which doesn't take a lot of battery power, and another when it is ready for performance. To switch between modes you need to flip a small switch which you get to by increasing the back of the watch.

The infinity watch v2.0 RC unit has 2 CR2016 coin type batteries fitted into it. You have to slide a plastic carrier out of a metal frame that holds both coin batteries, which are stacked ontop of each other in the frame. Version one maybe different batteries I am unsure. The battery holder scratches to top battery when you slide the carrier in and out, although this is not an issue.
I have had a look inside the watch to see what batteries are in there. The rechargeable Li-ion is easy to see. Is there a second battery, as I am only able to see a rechargeable one? some reports say that there is a second battery to power the normal time keeping, although I have had a good look and can't see a second watch type battery anywhere inside the watch. So does the v2.0 only work of the one rechargeable battery? Click here to view attached image. |

Why is my remote different? Also it’s not hard to open the back to turn on. You can have turned on and both functions still work .

UPDATE: With help from Rashaun Chan from the watch company, I have found the replaceable watch battery. It is next to to rechareable battery under the circular sponge. Advised by Rashaun battery should last around 5 yrs only bought infinity 2.0 in Blackpool direct from manufacturer, so battery should be good for a while! Not sure what coin battery this is, its held in with a tiny metal strap which is held by one of the smallest screws I've ever seen! A jewller is the best bet in a few years from now! |

My watch arrived today after a very long wait. The watch arrived totally unable to keep time. After around 30 mins the watch starts to slow down and then stops. Resetting the time sets it working again for another 30 mins before again giving up the ghost. I contacted the company who make it and their customer service is 1st class. They are sending me a replacement Version 2.1 rather than Version 2.0. No idea how long I will have to wait for this but they were very polite and professional in their correspondence. I also advised them that their instruction video needs to cover battery replacement and they are filming instructions for me. Lets hope that all goes well from this point onwards.

I would also like to know what the difference is between version 2 and version 2.1. And does anyone know with which remote control this watch is delivered now, because I read from two different versions, the first one was probably a bit bigger and square and the following one should be smaller and rounded ? |

Can this be used as a casual everyday watch? I'm getting mixed reviews on it and that it's not ideal for everyday usage as a casual watch. Any info?

@Jugagien: Yes, the Infinity Watch can be used as an ordinary watch. You can even turn off the "special feature" in order so save battery life (it has got two different batteries inside. For the "normal" funtion and the "special" one).

@ Jugagien: Sure, it can be used as an everyday watch provided the RC receiver inside the watch has been put to 'OFF' position.

@Jugagien: You just have to be aware that you will not be "always ready to perform" - you have to first switch on the special feature.
This isactually the reason why I haven't bought it. |

Is it possible to performthe effect with the watch face down ?
I mean can one estimate, according to a give displayed time on the watch, the time needed to activate the remote control, in order to predict the correct time ? For instance, the watch shows 1 pm, and the chosen time is 8:30 pm. If I know that the hour hand take 10 s to complete one hour, I may want to press the remote control for 75 s. Is that possible ?

Hey Aslan,
Have you received the 2.1? I'm curious what the differences are, and if the "slow time" issue was resolved. Thanks! D. Quote:
