Howdy has anyone busked in Fort Lauderdale?
I know they have permit system in place. Just wondering if you all have worked it and if so where? Thanks in advance Nickoli |

Well nobody has responded so I’m assuming this must be a great place to work
either that or no one has truly worked it . Nickoli |

Folks who busk often are not online every day...especially over the holiday season. It may take a while to get some replies...

So apparently all the hot spots for performing are taken.
That’s what the city clerk who issues the permits said. Once you get the permit and your spot it’s yours , as long as you contact them each month it’s yours for life. If someone knows anything else I would love to hear about it. Nickoli |

Not that I'm ever going to be in Fort Lauderdale, but how much is the license?

Sucks that you get one spot for the month. Limits who can perform and where. I know Balboa park in San Diego has permit system, and they balance types of performers. (So not all guitarists) and you get a month permit. During that month you can perform in the designated spots, but no more than two hours, then you have to move.

Once again sorry for not replying.
In Fort Lauderdale you have to get a permit ( total joke) The permit allows you to perform in your spot but the spots they offer no one is there. So I went down to where the mall is and did shows after the sun was not beating down on me. Real good pitch, after getting crowds and making money. With in a couple days Good ole security came by and said You can be here but you have to put your back to the moving traffic so as to not get such a big crowd. So if your heading threw that area work it no need for the permit and work down by the mall. A guy plays sac there he thinks it’s his spot. Go figure Nickoli |
