The Society for Psychical Research publishes an excellent quarterly magazine, Paranormal Review. Then there's the spiritualist magazine, Psychic News.

I used to buy Fate in my youth. That seems to be still going.

New dawn magazine often has special issues or features that cover psi etc in depth - it’s well researched written by subject matter experts. Their site has back issues that you can order in both digital and print format.

"Fortean Times" is the magazine that I would have written if I decided to publish a magazine. I found it to be the perfect fit for my worldview.

I have 12 old issues from MUFON, the Mutual UFO Network...

Hey, it's 20 years later and they still exist!

Ha! Same here, I haven't seen a copy in 30 years. Had no idea it's still running.

To call back to Barry’s point, when you join the SPR, they also send you journals with recent papers from their members experiments, or theories. There’s some really interesting stuff in there from time to time. You also gain access to a vast library of past work for research.

Also, when I was younger, I used to collect a great magazine simply titled “The Unexplained” - there’s lots to draw from in those old volumes. Ebay is the place I’d look! Smile

Thanks, Dee. The SPR Journal also has a very good section on book reviews. They also send you an occasional copy of Proceedings for longer papers, although there hasn't been one of those for some years. As Dee says, when you join you get online access to past issues of all publications, plus audio recordings of lectures.

I'd forgotten about The Unexplained. I missed out on that one, although I have a bound copy of the first six issues of the earlier Man, Myth and Magic. I wish I'd bought the full set of those.

I actually just spotted the full collection of man, myth and magic yesterday in an antiques shop! It’s not in the best condition, but for £45, I think I may have to go back for it!
