Are the DVD's from ellusionist worth buying. I live in England and was wondering if you could get themcheaper elsewhere.

I think they are decent. I have "How to do Street Magic" and "Crash Course 1", And I learned quite a bit from them. More from the "Crash Course" though. After you get 50 posts here at the Café you can go to the "For Sale" section of this forum and probably pick one up for a lot less than you would get them from "elusionist".

Their videos are decent like user Che said. For explosive card magic that has great reactions, you might want to check out:
Crash Course 1 Crash Course 2 Kard Klub Underground and their upcoming coin magic dvd. This is if you plan getting products from ellusionist. |

I love their products and I think Brad Christian is the best magic teacher ever.
Presentation is 99% of all magic

You are right there user "sandman". Although the ellusionist videos are totally over-priced, I learn best from ellusionist videos. Brad is an amazing teacher, he talks well, goes on to detail and fine points, teaches presentation and he provides showmanship tips. He connects to people even while watching the e videos.

Dynamiteassasin and sandman hit the nail on the head I would highly recommend the Ellusionist Videos. They have some great routines and Brad Christian is a great teacher. I've had quite a few videos and these are definitely some my favorites. I would say go ahead and get them directly from the Ellusionist if you can because you can get some good info out of the forums. How to Do street Magic & Inside Magic are great all around street magic effects. Then Crash Course 1 is a great place to start with cards. Another nice thing about these videos is they teach more than routines Brad Christian takes the time to teach presentation, and plain and simple presentation is what makes your magic. Your presentation can take a simple effect and turn it into a miracle or on the bad side ruin an effect that would normally be a miracle.
You may also want to check out Gregory Wilson's On The Spot and Mark Jenest's Miracles While You Wait for some more very good Street Magic. Joe |
