Hi everyone. I asked this question over on Reddit and the Mod suggested I ask here. So, here goes nothing Smile

There’s something I saw Richard do in a performance video, that (when out faroing) gives the bottom card a little glide out, creating a jog of sorts. This little jog has been the perfect pal for getting a consistent weave started. I really would love to know if this technique is talked about anywhere, or maybe even published! It’s just a small little tip but is helping me so much I would at least like to credit the creator, even if it’s only being credited in my head lol.

Thanks guys!

(I can name where you can see an example, but I’m not positive that would be ok to do here:)

Why not? Isn't Richard Turner a public performer?

As I recall Ed Marlo wrote something about this in Revolutionary Card Technique.
If there is a single truth about Magic, it is that nothing on earth so efficiently evades it.

If you want to just improve your faro, may I suggest you give Michael Close a look?

Thanks for the reply! Lol, this is absolutely true and thank you for saying it. In the film Dealt, at 04:30 into the film, you can see exactly what I’m talking about. This isn’t where I originally saw it, but it gives a clear view of what I’m talking about Smile

Thanks for the reply also! I went back and re-read the faro shuffle and faro notes section, and I’m not finding any text that describes the move I’m looking for. Are you speaking about the “little finger table” technique?

And again, thanks for replying Smile Is that download strictly for the in-the-hands method? If there’s one thing I can say about my card work, it’s that I have a solid in-the-hands faro. I practice it obsessively. Seriously, it’s an issue. I fell in love with it while trying to learn Vernash Aces, which is my favorite effectts to perform, and one of two effects that gave me the itch to learn card magic. The other was seeing an ACR performance lol.

That being said, for the last year or so I’ve been focusing on my table faro. That’s why I’m seeking this info in my post. Thanks again!
