I use the smallest potato chip bag keeper clips from walmart with thick rubber bands wrapped around the grippers of the clip - no sounds because of the rubber and you can pin it anywhere. It holds one, and possibly two or three.

Seriously though ... I USUALLY hang my gaffed coins on an invisible sky hook -- right about... there.

Years ago I bought a great coin holder which allows you to ditch or steal a coin with no magnets, adhesives, or moving parts. It's called the Coin Thing by James Chantler Brown. I believe I bought two of them from Aldo Colombini at a WonderWorkers convention in Hawaii. I don't know if they are still available but if they are I think they are exactly what you are looking for.
