I have just finished reading, "Summerland" by Rory O'Brien.
Set in the late 1800's it tells of a retired famous magician/spiritualist debunker who comes out of retirement to expose a spirit medium who has successfully captivated the wealthy socialites in Newport; will he succeed? We take part in exciting and spookily detailed seances; with references to the Fox Sisters, the Davenport Brothers, John Nevil Maskelyne, D.D.Home and even Florence Cook, that will keep the magical historians engaged. And there are a couple of intriguing sub-plots thrown in to keep the story moving along at pace. Rory O'Brien, who also wrote"Gallows Hill", a detective novel set in Salem (where he lives) is part of our own Bizarre Magick community and obviously knows his stuff! Both books are highly enjoyable and recommended. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Summerland-Rory......92588000
Stories....?....That's telling!
