Hi all,
This is to let you all know about a new addition to our FX Line of magic so many of you have been PMing me about. It's my POP-EYE gimmick. Check it out at http://www.arlenstudio.com . This is a little piece of strange I have been playing with for a while now. At any given moment, reach up and pluck your eye from it's socket complete with optical nerve attached. Then, restore your eye to its normal state and show your hands empty. I am really proud of the design and quality of this item even if it is a little far out and weird.... I would warn that I have gotten some pretty intense reactions with this effect... It is not for the faint of heart. |

Hi Keith. What's next, a mini terminator???
There was something similar to this I believe by Kevin James. But that was more light, kind of cartoonish. This is more realistic. And the other one used a spoon and a cup. Is it possible to also have it without the nerve to perform it like a cartoon effect?? Please Keith, have Andy Gordon put this on video. It would be great!!

Hi Niva,
Yes, I can tone it down a bit for a comical kids routine. Might be nice to add a jumbo realistic eye. I loved the Kevin James effect but I do not think it is still available. This one is less prop driven for a simple yet startling eye removal and restore. It is a neat segway for in-between effects or a nice addition to an existing effect as an enhancement. |

Hi arlen,
What is the difference between this and Steven Spill's Eye Popper? The quality? |

Tophatter check the website. I think it looks rather realistic.
dsilverfield, the effect you mentioned, is the same I was referring to above. It was sold by Kevin James some time ago.

Pretty cool... probably not the best thing for restaurant magic, though!

In addition to Pop-Eye, check out their custom TT and finger tip. Even if you're not in the market for one, check them out because these look amazing!

For a kids party!? Gee won't that go well with the cake! Really kids, don't try this at home as I am a trained professional! However, this does sound perfect for me as a trained science teacher as we do have the sheeps eye dissection as part of our curriculum...what a great lead in this would be!

Yes I think I saw this on mondo, very cool effect. I think Chris had it placed on a spoon, it was shown pretty quickly in between segments.
