what you get nice little ESP themed glossy top-flap box to store all the cards in. A small coloured instruction sheet, and a link to two PDFs via Dropbox, 2 sets of 5 ESP cards, these are naked. Then some specially printed cards that you can use for other effects (not explained, but there's hundreds out there in all kinds of booklets, dvds, etc). what are they like poker sized with a very simple back design, the symbols are a dark grey as is the simple back design. The texture is of a very flexible plastic type of stock. what I like they fit in peek cases and the back design is very simple. Its basically an outline, a little like the paralabs ones, but the method/technique employed is NOT the same. These are so that you can read the back design and know what symbol it is in a spread. One of the bugbears for me of esp cards is when the symbols lines aren't the same thickness. often its the wavy lines or the cross. But these symbols are drawn up so that they are all the same thickness. Hooray! I like the thinness and texture of the cards too. If you wanna do sleights - these handle well. Your get-ready for a DL may need a little tweaking, but no big deal. What I didn't like its just being picky, I think I'd prefer them in bridge sized just so that they are another step away from playing cards. motivation though I'm not gigging regularly, and its only when I want to - I wanted to separate "things". One for being booked and its for my cartomancy themed set. I'm using Looch's BLINK and my own Tornamancy method. But for the more varied set, I'm using the Secret Tannery's Jaks case, a Svengali pad and a pendulum, and now these handsome little beasts. overall great quality, simple look and feel, its great that they're wash/splash proof. accidents happen and I don't just mean in my pants. 9/10

You could be right, Iain. It's a long time since I've played or bought a pack. Out of curiosity, I just searched for "playing cards" on Amazon UK; Waddingtons (bridge-sized) come up first, as "Amazon Choice", but Bicycles are shown as "Best Seller". Both have roughly the same number of reviews.

Yeah, but don't forget you're getting a kinda bespoke response cos they know your purchasing habits as well as age and so on...

I can't even recall the last or only time I played with bridge sized cards. Ever.

The used poker sized casino cards that are sold in the gift shops are taken from the table games (blackjack, 3 card poker, etc.). Here’s a reference I just found: https://www.dkgameroomoutlet.com/blog/20......he-deal/ |

Also, the cards used in poker rooms are 100% plastic...not plastic coated. They last much longer than standard playing cards.

All the casinos I've been in and all the cards I've purchased in the casino have been poker sized cards.

Okay to clarify. POKER at casinos in the US is played with bridge sized, plastic decks. These decks don't come up for sale in gift shops.
TABLE GAMES, such as blackjack, bacarat, etc, are played with poker sized paper decks. These are the ones you'll see for sale. RE: Marking, I don't have them, but I looked at the image of the cards in the ad. Seems pretty obvious.

Ah ok. Didn't see that last pic with the lines on the back.
They do remind me of the paralab cards. How are the included routines? |
