I view Kenton's "Completely Cold" as a technique that you add to your cold-reading arsenal, not as a stand-alone method. Given, that most professional cold readers stumble across Kenton's technique on their own, but it's nice to see it formally laid out and explained.

I couldn't make head or tail out of it. It seemed very contrived. However, I will concede that I only read it cursorily. Perhaps I should have read it more thoroughly to get a more objective grasp of it. I did very much like Kenton's book on the work of Eddie Tulloch which he wrote with Gene Urban.

If anyone completely reads through the Doug Dyment page I linked to earlier in this thread, they will find a great set of additions/modifications that can be directly applied to many reading systems, ESPECIALLY Completely Cold.
And that's all I'm saying about that. |

Two systems I have studied are palm reading and cartomancy. In my opinion, there is no better (or easier) way to learn how to read palms than Julian Moore's Palmistry - Palm Readings in Your Own Words iPad Edition. It's really exceptionally good. https://itunes.apple.com/us/book/palmist......61?mt=11 Learn this system and you will have a very useful skill for life. |

Am I the only one who adores E.E.'s "In**sable Re*dings"? Though I guess this wouldn't be one for beginners per the OP.

in my experience, most magicians/mentalists are woefully uninformed about cold reading (although they are quick to proclaim otherwise, and post dubious suggestions to beginners) Nobody seems to care unfortunately. |

I'm sorry about that Lemniscate. I checked to see if anybody have posted and only found a link on the deceptionary about playing cards here. Your post flied pass me...
And just for the record... that link is one of the best things to be mentioned in a thread such as this. If people don't care... it's their loss!
