We wrap up our two part podcast this week with another chat with Richard Hatch. He finishes his conversation on his search for the elusive author of "Expert at the Card Table" then he talks about a little known magician, Washington Simmons, who traversed the Plains States including Utah where he befriended Mormon leader, Brigham Young. He also verbally sparred with the best known humorist of the day, Artemus ward, who was Abraham Lincoln's favorite comedian who also inspired Samuel Clemens, aka Mark Twain. There are quite a few delightful stories in this week's podcast. Even if you don't care much for magic history, I know you will enjoy the stories and who knows? Perhaps along the way you might learn something, too!

You can watch Richard Hatch in a video, see some old photos of the people named in this week's podcast from the 1800's. read the blog, listen online to the podcast, and download the MP3 file at: https://www.themagicwordpodcast.com/scot......part-two
