Just curious..Do you have a black one because it's kind of spooky or mystical? Do you have a green one because you do gambling routines and want to have the pad match the color of a poker or blackjack table?
Do you have a red one because you have lots of energy performing etc.
My pad is the first thing an audience sees..what was the reason you chose the color & does the "color" match your performing style.
Self concept is destiny..

I have a red one because that is what they had at the time I bought. I guess you could say it goes with my hair since I'm redheaded and red bearded. I guess if you say that red means energy, it would match my character because Redbeard The Magical Pirate has a lot of that. I bought it back in the 70's and it really is in need of replacement. Maybe when I do I will need to take a closer look at your color/personality groupings and think about it alot.

Green, although I hate gambling routines (getting that fire extinguisher ready).

I bought green because it is my favorite color.

Green.
I like using red bikes and I think they look great on the green.

But, I might get a black one.

I love my black close up pad. Depending on the situation, I switch it with my green pad.

Mine is black even though I had many colors to choose from. I will pick up another one or two in the future and they will be of a different color, maybe blue and a brown one.

Tye Dye. No I'm just kidding. I have two "mousepads" but in my opinion they are just as good as closeup pads. I have a black one (for practice and carry around because it doesn't show dirt as easily as other colors) and a purple one for shows. I like purple because any object I put on the pad, (red cards, blue cards, other kinds of cards, poker chips, silver dollars) clash totally and really stand out, making everything easier to see. (I don't have a lot of purple closeup props.)
