Chinatown Coin - Sasco
China Change - Sterling Chinatown Half - Johnson I understand there is a difference in the "Chinatown Half" and the "China Change". Where does the "Chinatown Coin" fit it? I read in another thread that the "change" on the Sterling is a nice feature, though I am not sure what that is. Do they all have a "hole" that can be changed and/or moved? |

I own a Chinatown Half - Johnson, also a Tango version and a Kueppers. I found a YouTube video of China Change - Sterling and seeing the effect it is the same gaff. Chinatown Coin - Sasco, I do not find a video and no clear effect description. But, I bet Half-a-Dollar that they are the same idea. None have a moving hole that I've ever seen (except Martinka's Hole 3.0 - which is excellent...but doesn't use a Chinese Coin...Just a Kennedy coin with a hole in it and moves a real hole to 3 different locations).
I really enjoy using Chinatown Half in regular routines with Copper/Silver routines with gaff modified to show the Chinese shown on your palm. Very fun and new takes on a more level of impossibility with the hole on one coin. Have Fun! Steph

I can't remember offhand but there was one that suggested filling the hole with white paper to make it match an envelope. Is this the type info you are looking for? There are also some books with ideas for both quarter and half dollar size https://www.houdini.com/lethal-quarter

Thanks everyone. I see that one of the links is for a quarter sized variation of "lethal tender" which would offer an option to used a borrowed coin.
