Ah that's a very good point Mark, I didn't think of that! I like your idea, it would work well in a parlour/stage act. that's the cool thing about this product. You can scale it up or down depending on your needs. I could easily see this playing well on stage with 1 or 2 spectators making the choices. There plenty of room for bante, and depending on what size paper you put in the envelope, you could end with a really big finale. I imagine the mic drop is optional.

Another terrific idea from Mark, I really like the words on the envelopes too.
Perhaps on the 4 envelopes with lottery tickets it might say “Hope These Are Winners”, and on your envelopes it could say “I’ll Keep The Empties”. I think you’re absolutely correct too about how many will believe they also shuffled and selected the envelopes into the correct order to form the sentences. |

Oh in regards to my presentation a couple of points, I would put a double blank card in all of the envelopes. The ones with the lottery tickets will say something like congratulations and the writing will be facing the spectators as they come out of the envelopes. I will open my envelopes first so they see 4 blank cards come out of my envelopes. Then they open theirs and find the lottery tickets which is the stronger reveal. Also the fact that they see writing on the cards in their envelope helps sell the idea that yours are blank. They now think the effect is done.
If you don’t want to give away lottery tickets simply write Winner on the 4 cards the participant will receive. Reveal your blanks, placing them down in the correct order. Now the participant opens their envelopes and find the winner cards, let this breathe for a moment and there is a good chance it will dawn on them that they never saw the backs of your cards and the clever ones may suspect that yours say winner on the back. Then one by one flip them over and show NOTHING ,,, TO ... SEE ,,, HERE. Mark |

Yes John has done an awesome job, this is great out of the box and has so much flexibility. I think this is way too cheap personally.

I have a small change to the beginning of this effect ie. the mixing of the envelopes.
Instead of handing 4 to the spectator while you mix the ‘ other’ 4 & then swapping them over with them to mix again, do this following- hand one set to one spectator & the other to the other spectator. This will result in everyone remembering that at the very start they were completely out of your hands while mixed. All you have to do is remember which spectator has the target pile. Just an idea. Interesting!
Can anyone tell how this compares to John Bannon's "Banco" from Destination Zero book? Or Joe McKay's "Bank on 64th Street" from Magic Magazine? Mike |

This really is great
A thought: If you use four bills and four pieces of paper. You can tell them they will win the less valued items. If this happens you keep everything. They choose all four bills. They have chosen all four pieces of paper for you. It seems they have won. The pieces of paper are turned over and they reveal their four digit pin code. They have to give you everything (and change their pin code). Because you are generous, you buy your participant a round. Use Cipher or some other method for prior knowledge acquisition. Obviously, this would not be a walk around approach, but it would leave a mark in their psyche. |

Using Waters as a starting point:
You either use something to get pin code or you can force a pin code and in the end the pin numbers beside being on the back of the papers inside the envelope they are printed aswell in the stickers * small size font but readable or bigger in grey color to add another flavor. Another idea would be to have stripper envelopes it could be useful for complete shuffles, spectators grab all the envelopes. Need to release this asap Thanks Sean for sharing what was on your mind |
