I will visit LA in coming weeks. And I would love to visit Magic Castle on 7th or 11th April.

I wonder if any fellows can be kind enough to give me the invitation cos I am not a Castle member.

If you are a member of a recognized organization such as IBM or SAM you don't really need to be "sponsored". Call, ahead of your visit, and make a reservation...expect to have dinner there.

Subscribers to Genii Magazine ($35 for digital subscription) can visit the Castle once per year. (Plus Genii is great in itself.)

Call the Castle and tell them you are a Genii subscriber. They will verify with the Genii office, and allow you to make a dinner reservation.

Or you can stay at the Magic Castle Hotel right next door to the Castle. One of the perks of staying there is admission to the Magic Castle itself.

IBM members can get in, but the only people who don't pay a door charge ($35 on weekends) are those who are actually escorted personally by a member, is that right? I haven't been to the castle since I moved from L.A. 17 years ago. Is it also correct to say that if you want the full experience, you have to go on the weekend? IOW, are the library bar and Peller theater dark Monday and Tuesday?
