Have anyone seen Harry Lorayne's Best Ever series vol. 8,9,10? I have the first 7 volumes and was thinking of getting the other 3. Any reviews would be appreciated.
Thanks.

I've got them. I think Harry's work is well thought out and it would make a great addition to your library. I would rather he included more magic in his volume 10, as he includes a one-hour memory lecture (which is quite a good demonstration of his memory work, for which he is best known). However, I recommend them without reservation. I definitely think I got my money's worth on each of those volumes. Hope this helps!

Thanks Daeichler, I really enjoy Lorayne's material becuase he is so enthusiastic about his performances and his explanations. I do not know where he gets all his energy from. I really feel that he is the best ever teacher of magic. His explanations are as entertaining as his performances.

L&L put these videos out. You can buy them directly from them at http://www.llpub.com. There are other magic sites online, as well, that sell them.

If you like Lorayne's material, you should seriously consider acquiring a copy of his book, "Personal Collection". It was limited to around 500 (or so) produed and sold for $150. In my opinion, though, it is worth it. If L&L does not have any more left (maybe they do??), you could try to see if Harry has any more left. His website (which does not cover his magic stuff, rather his memory stuff, but you can reach him via the site nonetheless) is http://www.harrylorayne.com.

The DVD is out for 8-10. I regularly send an email to L&L a couple of times a year asking if they plan to release 1-7 on DVD, but they state they have no plans as of yet. Perhaps if more people email such a request, they will be more likely to release it on DVD.

Fayaad: If you think vols. 1 to 7 are so great, why in the world would you need a review for the last three volumes??!! Makes very little sense. Why in the world don't people contact me when they want one of my items? Is a puzzlement. And - all the volumes are now in DVD. You can reach me and ask about them at: harrylorayne@eartlnk.net HARRY LORAYNE.

Harry, Why in the world would anyone invest in something without doing some research first?
I didn't come here to tell you how this is going to end...

Harry-- With, respect, I think it makes sense to ask other purchasers, rather than the creator, about material that you're thinking of buying. When you do that, though, you're obviously going to get a wide range of responses.

I can only imagine that a broad consensus will establish something that I think is obvious -- Every single volume of this series is MORE than worth the price. If you don't find workable gems on each DVD, you're not trying. And, as has been mentioned, you never have to worry about if you're set up for this, or if you have the right gaff for that...each DVD has killer material that you can do when someone else hands you a deck. I have a ton of stuff Harry's put out, from math to memory to every volume of this DVD series to some of my favorite magic books (particularly Reputation Makers); my personal reaction is, I've never been disappointed with anything he's put out, and I've never for a second felt like I didn't get much more than my money's worth. If Volumes 1-3 in a series are great, and in this case they are, then I think it makes more sense to get volume 4 from a proven source than try volume 1 of another series when you don't know what you'll get.

Wow, third thread in one day that I have come across where Harry Lorayne is whining about nothing. Is this normal or is it a bad week?

Hey NeoMagic: You mean if I spelled my email address correctly I can expect a bunch of orders from you? Wow! HARRY LORAYNE.
Hey Dranex: After all the whining I see, read and hear (like yours above), I really think my (whining) responses should be allowed. I do, however, appreciate your insightful input. It did add a bit of class. HL

Hello all,

I noticed this posting and was hoping someone could clear the following up for me. I've actually emailed Harry himself too, but as I'm sure he's a busy guy, I thought I'd post it here as well.

I'm interested in purchasing Harry's DVDs, but I'm confused by the names. Hopefully I can make my confusion clear.

First:
http://www.llpub.com/zenshop/index.php?m......_id=2312

The above DVD set that I linked to is volumes 1-4 of Harry's Best Ever videos. However, from what I can tell, these volumes 1-4 on DVD contain all the material from volumes 1-10 of the VHS series. Is that correct?

Then what does this set of DVDs contain? Is this entirely different material?

http://www.llpub.com/zenshop/index.php?m......_id=1437

And if this is not volumes 8-10 of the VHS series put onto DVD, then where are volumes 1-7? Or if these two sets are meant to go together, then where are volumes 5-7?

Hopefully my question is clear. Thank you all for your time.
