Fifty Two Playing Cards, A Deck of Playing Cards That Admire Simplicity.



ABOUT THIS PROJECT...

For the first time ever in 2019, Fifty-Two Playing Cards is here with our first ever variation of our simplistic, elegant and quality deck of playing cards.

This deck has been designed for cardists, magicians and hobbyists alike. We stuck with a simplistic design in order to target all audiences.



THE DESIGN...

When it comes to the design, there isn't much to speak about, and that is exactly the point. There is a two-way mirrored back design featuring twin logo's of the fifty two. Why fifty-two? Well, if you have picked up a deck of playing cards ever, you will know there are only fifty two playing cards in a deck ( not including jokers and / or ad cards ). This number has become iconic to magicians, cardists and anyone who uses playing cards.



Further more, when you spread this deck of playing cards, a ribbon like design will show. This allows the elegance of the deck and simplicity to be amplified and allows this deck of playing cards to be different than any other.
We decided to place the number 52 on the top left corner and bottom right corner meaning when doing a thumb fan counter clockwise you will receive a nice artistic ribbon spreading along the whole deck.

• Why did we choose a simplistic design?
  

We chose a simplistic design so that your flourishes, moves, cuts and anything else would be amplified, many decks nowadays are not simplistic and definitely not cheap.



In addition to having a simplistic back design we have decided to alter all the court cards into a black and white version of themselves and maintaining the black pip colour while slightly darkening the red pips.
In addition the Ace of Spades and Jokers are all custom as well.



THE PRICE...

As mentioned previously, playing card prices have been sky rocketing, almost reaching $20 a deck in some cases. That is why we here at Fifty Two Playing Cards have brought you a deck for less than half that price. We want everyone and anyone to be able to get a deck of fifty two playing cards and not be limited by the price. We have also tried our best to get shipping as cheap as possible with having two representatives. One from the EU and one from the U.S.A meaning your deck(s) shipping will be cheaper and arrive quicker!



THE QUALITY...

When buying decks of playing cards quality should be the last thing you need to worry about. that's why we have teamed up with the USPCC ( United States Playing Card Company ) to bring you a deck of playing cards with the highest quality. USPCC have been at it for a long time meaning they have fine tuned their machinery to create the best feeling playing cards on the market.



THE STOCK AND FINISH...

We decided to go against the norm of crushed playing cards and fit our playing cards with a thicker more durable stock. This was also due to the fact that playing cards do not last very long with extended use.
So a thicker more premium stock would allow the cards to last a long time, maintaining a snap yet still feeling soft. It's the best of both worlds really.

THE TUCK CASE...

Just like the rest of the deck we decided to keep the tuck case nice and simplistic. What else can I say? Its a simplistic deck!



STRETCH GOALS...

We hope that we can get 100% funded and allow our dream of a simplistic good looking deck to come true.
In the event that we go beyond this, we have set in place stretch goals. such as:

Disclaimers:

Photos and videos of "fifty-two playing cards" have been taken with prototype decks - the final product will be of a much more premium quality.

RISKS AND CHALLENGES...

Printing with the USPCC allows very little issues to take place as they are one of, if not, the best printing and manufacturing companies when it comes to playing cards.
I will be handling shipping fulfilment and treating every package as my own, meaning there will be little to no risk associated with shipping.
Reaching 100% funding may be a risk due to the fact that we are a new company and this is our first deck of playing cards, meaning we may not get funded our first time around.
However if that does happen all our backers will receive their money back meaning there is no risk for backers!
