Any good resources in print that would help me set up a whole busking routine?

Thanks!

I think stating at the books of Jimmy talks a lot is a great way to start putting a busking routine together. He has hung with the greats and learnt the classics so brings that to you. But also his experience is coming from the now which is great. In these books he also mentions other resouce to get.

When a question like this comes up I always find it hard to work out the balance of not wanting cook cutter type show but then not knowing where to start.

Also alittle more about you where and why you plan to busk? What levle you are at now?

Let us know if this helps also feel free to ask for more
Enjoy your magic,

and let others enjoy it as well!

I second the Jimmy Talksalot book.

Also look at the Mario Morris School of Busking.

Reel Magic Magazine has some lectures Cellini gave available once you become a subscriber. Well worth $5.

The best advice I got out of all those, though, was to just get out there and do it.

Don't forget Jeff McBride's Mystery school Focus on street magic class taught by Jeff and Mario Morris, and of course Mario's School of Busking in Cardiff Wales.....but with all that and all the books, there is no better teacher than picking a few effects and going out to find a pitch and TRY IT!! You'll be happy you did.....then the reading or classes will even make more sense.

Hey Jude,
don't make it bad,
take a sad trick and make it better.
Remember,
to let it into your heart,
then you can start,
to make it better.

Hey Jude,
don't be afraid,
you were made to go out and try it.
The minute,
you let her under your skin,
then you begin,
to make it better.

And anytime you feel the pain,
hey Jude,
refrain;
don't carry the world upon your shoulders.
For well you know that it's a fool,
who plays it cool,
by making his world a little colder.

Nah nah nah nah nah nah nah nah nah

Hey Jude,
don't let me down.
You have found it,
now go and do it!
Remember,
to let it into your heart,
then you can start,
to make it better.

So let it out and let it in,
hey Jude,
begin,
...we're waiting for someone to perform with.

gallagher.

,...yeah, I wish I had written THAT!

p.s.: Hey Jude,
Willkommen, Bienvenue,.....Welcome!
Let us know how it goes,..
and any good Pitches you might find!

Take your three favorite tricks, and do them. Add a couple of jokes, a couple of transitions and crowd interact lines, a couple of crowd building lines, and a good hat line.

There's your show.

I'll bill you for the consultation 😁

Just great.
A new guy shows up.
Shows some signs of sincere interest.
The smell of sweet innocence....

....along comes Gaddy and scares 'im off!

Just great.
