I'm looking for some ideas for body loading coins on people, and hoping some other people do this too.

If any one can point me in the right direction to look for this kind of material, it would be more than helpful.

Thanks in advance,

P.S. I guess I should of called this body loading material, but I figured that strolling coin magic in general would be good as well.

I know someone who loaded one of Tod's $ 1.00 shells In someone shirt pocket ( becase it is light and he can't fell it) And was going to do it latter at the party, then forgot all about it! And lost the shell!
( ouch!:(!Not good!!!

There are few people to ask about this. Apollo seems to have a rep for this stuff.

In The Secret Ways of Al Baker, there is a short description of how to load a stack of coins into a spectators pocket silently.
This presumably occured in one of his previous books, which one I don't know. Seems a bit expensive to be buying the whole book for just that though. On the weekend I will try and find it in the book.

I appreicate the effort Owen.

I had somebody mention the one routine by Greg Wilson called Quik Silver on his On the Spot video, Haven't watched it in a while so I'll have to blow the dust off it and see.

Why not study a pickpocketing book and reverse the moves? Smile

Just looking for material to base off of.

I'm not the greatest for coming up with orginal material without a base idea to work from.

I have thought of using the putpocket ideas, but without a base idea, I'm sitting there trying to load a card or coin then trying to figure out what to do with after its been loaded.

Although Doug's book is great, it does not cover any loading techniques but does describe visual/clean coin magic for the walk around performer.... As mentioned, the guy to check out is Apollo...

You should check out on the spot by greg wilson he has a coin routine where the coin is loaded under their watch and on their shoulder. he also covers some pickpocketing stuff which will most likely help you out as well.

I'm just trying to picture the reaction of the guy when he got home and found it in his pocket. "What the...?!?!?!?"

Then the aftermath of the reaction to the 'whatever' attitude, to the casual toss to the trash can. :'(

Leeman,

I blew the dust off my On the Spot tape and checked out Quik Silver, that's sorta the stuff I'm looking for. Just trying to see if there is more like it out there.

There are a few body loads in Bobo's there is also a routine which friend of mine does...it may even be greg wilsons. He leaves a coin on the spectators shoulder, under their watch etc etc. You may also be able to steal some of apollos ideas from CX where he does stuff with cards and pens?

I've got Bobo's with me at work today, I'm going to find some ideas in there if it kills me.

(or at the very least, get lots of paper cuts)

Hi James,

There is defiitely a load to the top breast pocket in Bobo's. Other stuff you may like to try is encouraging a spectator to concentrate on the hand where the coin is just about to vanish from...putting your other hand on his "shoulder" to emphasise the importance of watching the other hand!! Hmm I wonder where the coin ends up!?!

The other thing to try would be holding onto a spetators wrist "near their watch!!" as you place a coin ito their open hand...any oppportunities here?

Hope this doesn't give too much away but may be some ideas for you. PM me if you need better descriptions.
