I am quite new to magic, does anyone know of any routines that are avalable for the educated duck

Not quite sure what you're asking, Machoo (gesundheit).
Groucho worked out a nice routine for when the spec said the secret word. Could be that my wife knows. Idaho, Alaska.

I believe the Educated Duck is the name given to another version of Jo-Anne Duck, the wooden prop which picks a chosen card out of a houlette (sp?). This is a classic trick and most of the routines I've seen were for kid shows. There is an interesting one in "Kid Stuff Five", in the Frances Marshall series (pg. 65). Senetor Crandall had a great routine which played for adults too, but I don't know where you would find it now. Vernet now puts out a cardboard version called "Pancho thr Pickin' Duck" and it includes a routine good for children or adults but of course I couldn't reveal it. Finally, Piet Fortin recently did his version at Hank Lee's Magic Convention. He may have it in his lecture notes.
